gotta luv that place 12/9/2011

As i was looking on line for someplace new, I have just come across this review of one of the great places in easton to dine and get amazing beer. Apperently this guy has never worked at or in a resturant. First of all the staff has always been very nice and acomidating. Second, the beer is always diverse and wonderful, but the food has even surpassed the beer. Now on to my next point, the credit card company is always at fault for not getting the money back into peoples accounts. It is liable for this guy to say these things. He is lucky the police don't get involved, because he would be the one in trouble. I just hate to see the coolest place in easton get such a B.S. review. He must be the 1%.Oh well I will keep going and drinking awesome beer and eating great food with a super nice wait staff. more

STAY AWAY!! Bad Service and Fraudulent Charges on Card !!! 11/21/2011

Please stay away from this place, unless you enjoy having your Card overcharged by $75 by disgruntled / brainless employees. My Bill was for $30, and much to my surprise when I checked my account i had 3 different charges, one for my bill, one for $50, and one for $25. To make this even better, my wife overheard the waiter whining about not getting a big enough tip (which he was tipped properly for a poor performance and low bill.) In my eyes this was either some sort of spite move, or possibly a scam. Called management and was given some weak excuse and was told the charge would drop off eventually (this was 5 days ago and the charge is still there) This is now turning into a matter that I think I may need to involve the local Police dept due to fraudulent charges being placed on my account. So if you want lousy service, decent burgers, and a ton of headaches dealing with your bank, lame excuses by managers and shady waiters...by all means goto Pearly Bakers..Been coming here for years and needless to say i'll never be back, and i'll make sure everyone I know stays away from this place as well!! more

for a good time call.... 8/9/2007

Pearly's is a tradition in Easton. It is solid on traditional regional fare (heavy on meats, beers, etc), as well as enough contemporary selections (including what appears to be a tapas menu that doesn't call itself that) to fit almost any test bud. The summer 2007 waldorf salad was the best salad I have possibly ever had - anywhere, and the pear & brie saldad is also excellent. \r \r I saw the prior review that blasted pearly's whic is why i posted. I've been going to pearly's for a decade. I've never had a bad meal, indeed. Indeed, I've rarely not had an above average or better dining experience. A bad culinary experience with a large party can happen anywhere, however, I would not let one commentators experience deter you from what in my experience is a great time. \r \r I'll agree with the other commentators, it has a great beer selection, a great patio, and friendly staff. Pros: good food, service, great beer selection, that marble ball that is almost a half-block long Cons: call ahead for reservations, some odd nights you won't be able to get in, patio is unheated more

Going for 10 years 7/13/2005

We have been going here for 10 years. We love cocktails at the beautiful bar with the historic skylight. We have heard some great music on the weekends over the years and whether we are grabbing a quick burger in the tap room or having a full dinner under that georgous crystal chandelier in the dining room we have never been dissappointed. On the evenings that there is a State Theatre show gong on it can be very busy and loud but they have the best French Onion Soup/Boulder Style I highly reccommend you try it. And they have a great wine list. Pros: great atmosphere, good food, outside patio Cons: busy on theatre night more

Great Fun for the family and friends 7/13/2005

I have to disagree with the review that has been written about Pearly Bakers. We had a wonderful time there. The food was very good and the beer selection is out of this world!!! Since there we have been back several times, with our friends and family members. The out door seating area is a great asset in the summertime with all the local ambience it is a great treat to all who dine there. Beers off to Pearly Bakers!!!! more

Not coming back again for food 6/30/2005

I have dined here several times, and reasonable experiences previously, however, my last experience has convinced me not to eat here again and recommend others to not do the same. Our group ordered a mix of appetizers and small entrees to taste a number of different foods. The pasta was watery and not very good (likely frozen). The half-order of lamb took nearly 30 minutes to arrive and when it did was not seared or rare, but rather frozen, thawed, and rubbery. It came served in a ""chef's gelatin"" similar to cornstarch. The mushroom soup was nothing more than water, lots of pepper, stock, and 2 pieces of mushroom. Several other plates were of similar stature. The waitress was very inexperienced and was either too attentive or not around at all. Overall, I am not recommending coming here for anything more than beers and perhaps a burger. Pros: beer selection, outdoor seating, after work drinks Cons: food, service more
