Peabody's is definately the place to be. With a wide selection of mixed drinks and even wider selection of beers, I absolutely love this place. For a long time I have looked for a place with a comfterable atmosphere and good music. A place where you can feel welcome no matter what your walk of life. The newly redone sideyard gives it a flavor unlike anything in Oshkosh. I can honestly say "I friggen love this bar". Also in response to the previous post. I was there the night they cut that band early, and was glad they did. They sounded like a bunch of 12 yr olds playing in mom and dads garage. Time to go home and practice some more. Nobody wants to pay for a poor performance. more

Peabody's used to be a place for live music, friendly people, and quality service. I fear those days are behind us, we will truly miss you Wally. New owners seem only concerned about one thing, $. Recently a friends band was playing there and was cut 1/2 way through by the establishment for no apparent reason, everyone was having a good time. If this is the way they are going to treat the local music community I fear most groups will not want to play there anymore. more

What a great place! Friendly people,good prices!! I get there every chance Straight Up BlueGrass is playing! What a rockin' bluegrass band. The place takes everybody. It reminds me of my neighborhood bars in chicago. Anybdy that wants a good time and GREAT bluegrass should come to Peobody's more

Peabody's is my home away from home. First, let's talk about what Peabody's isn't: it's not a meat market; it's not a club; it's not a townie bar. What is it, then? It's a perfect compliment to Oshkosh's downtown development. Anyone who lives downtown can tie one on and walk home, espcially on Sunday nights. :) more

The place in Oshkosh where the musicians, artists, stoners and anyone else looking for a good place to meet people and be able to hear them across from you. This place, after going to a couple times, gives you a sense that you are at Cheers in Boston and you are Norm at the end of the bar. I would rate this the best place in Oshkosh to have a few drinks, meet friendly people and have a good time. Pros: friendly, crowded, good music Cons: some 80's music, crowded more
