My fiance and I went to Payne Anthony for my engagement ring. I originally stopped in by myself and was very impressed with the one on one assistance I recieved from the owner, no less. I don't know much about rings or diamonds and other jewelry stores we had been to at that point acted like they didn't have the time to explain it all to us. Payne Anthony took the time to answer our questions and always treated us like we had their full attention. I was also looking for something simple and timeless, in white gold, that I wouldn't look at in 20 years and regret. Trendy was definitely out of the question. Other jewelry stores didn't seem to get it, though, and would show me gaudy pieces because they were ""prettier"" than what I had selected. Payne Anthony never pushed anything that I wasn't interested in. In fact, once I explained the kind of style I was interested in, the owner was so knowledgeable and understanding that he pointed me right to the ring that I absolutely fell in love with. Since they only carry a limited quantity of each style (so that no one else has your ring), I brought my fiance back the next weekend. The owner was there again, and remembered me, my ring, and everything we had discussed. I was so impressed! For a high-end jeweler, they never once treated us like we were below them. And considering that my fiance has tattoos, I can't say this about too many SLC businesses. My fiance and I are young, and don't have a lot of disposable income, but we wanted our rings to be high quality investments. I truely feel that we couldn't have found a better quality ring for the price, and combined with the impeccable service we recieved, I would highly recommend Payne Anthony!
Pros: Great selection, one-on-one customer service, GREAT value, unique pieces, high-end quality
Cons: Trolley Square remodel makes access a little difficult
