Pay Pal

I'm not sure what's going here, but someone is trying to pay me through an account he claims is on this site. I read the other reviews and i understand that this isn't a reparable business, but I don't understand if this person honestly believes he has an account here and is giving these people money. So, did he pay them now they are not paying me? my problem sounds similar to Gables65 money is being ""held hostage"" aka stolen. I reported them to the BBB of Santa Clara County. more

THIS IS NOT PayPal! Please be aware that this is not the PayPal company you think it is. This company that is called PAY PAL, 2 words, (look at spelling) is putting themselves off as the original PayPal, one word, (look at spelling). One word as opposed to 2 words. This is why PayPal has no information on these charges/debit card on your account. Because it is a different company. This company that is PAY PAL is a ripoff that should be reported as soon as possible to the proper authorities. The Attorney General of California, the BBB. If you have been ripped off by this company, please do not say that it is PayPal, it is not. I was ripped by this company and did some investigation on my own and found this information. PayPal does not have an office in California. I am a dedicated user of PayPal and have never been ripped off by them. Always friendly helpful customer service. The complaints in this thread should not be implied to the correct PayPal. Thank you. Most important, I am NOT a PayPal employee. Just an average person who hates spammers, scammers, and rip off artists. So please file your claims if you have complaints to the above mention authorities. More complaints, the better. more

I also bought some cell ph case on ebay and I paid for it and it was done with and a mth later I saw a charge for this ""paypal sugar daddy san jose"" I copied and pasted the transaction info from my bank statement onto the google search engine and came across this review... What the hell it happened to me too.. I am going to dispute with my bank tomorrow morning. I was charged about $12.00 which was a different amount that I bought my cell ph case for (only paid $6). I just signed up with paypal, and bought some cell phone accessories online using paypal, thinking this was safe way to pay so it said. I come to find out that some sort of branch of paypal or something had taken additional money from my acct with out my permission. I copied the address off my bank statement online and searched the address it was in california and it had phone number that was invalid so WTF IS GOING ON...AAAAHH. So......when I call paypal customer services quarter till they closed unfortunately , but since thats when I found out I wanted to call anyway since it was an important matter. So I call I tell the girl my situation and so she says she will direct me to a acct specialist....well Im on hold for several minutes then they hang up on me. I call back again and I a message saying their closed came on, WTF......ADVICE NEVER SIGN UP FOR PAYPAL OR EBAY....IT COULD BE THE END OF YOUR ACCTS, your real accts, your. Im closing mine as soon as I get this resolved....... Cons: tons more

I've had a PayPal account for 10 years and have always been in good standing. They have caused great distress, however, for the last 2 days! I changed my email address, AND confirmed it. 4 payments made to my account were not credited; the email notices from PayPal said my email was UNconfirmed. I spoke w/PayPal customer service Fri, Aug 8 @ 7:15 pm, again Sat, Aug 9 @ 8:30 am and again Sat, Aug 9 @ 6:47 pm. The first 2 reps said problem was a PayPal glitch & technicians were working on it! The first rep asked me to install Firefox browser saying PayPal was having issues with IE7! When same problem occurred with FireFox, rep placed me on hold for 8 minutes; she came back & said her supervisor confirmed it was a PayPal situation and techs were working on it! more

I am going to take ds1909 's instructions. Pay Pal froze up my account- because of third party access- which they could not verify. Pay Pal has an incorrect bank account number for me and they wouldn't let me change it. I have tried to email them several times with no reply. Poor company- as soon as I can get the money they are holding hostage from me- that account will be closed. Pros: easy way to deposit money Cons: Locks up your account for no reason and without your approval. more
