Went to Paxtons for the first time last year with a gift certificate. Food was mediocre at best. Didn't realize 2nd gift certicate expired a few weeks ago. Wouldn't accept the gift certificate. Just bad business, although nothing new as far as locally owned cincinnati restaurants. (also young bar tender was rude referring to me as ""honey"" upon complaint) Pros: friendly waitress Cons: mediocre food, slow service, bad business practices more

Too many kids around 4/10/2008

If you enjoy the company of bratty kids, then this is the place for you. Personally, I don't feel that children belong in a bar. Cons: Too many kids runnin' around more

I go to Paxton's all the time and every time I go there I have a great experience. It is great for all ages. The small atmosphere is great. The food is great as well. If you ever want to try something new try Paxton's, you will come back! Pros: Great Service, Great Food, Great Prices Cons: May get crowded more

ONE OF LIFE'S LITTLE JOYS 11/15/2004

Paxton's Grill is casual 'sandwich and a beer' kind of place that is great for getting together with family and friends or after golf, baseball, biking, and the like. It reminds me of the kind of place that was common in lake towns of the '40s and '50s. Nothing fancy, but you'll like it and you will come back. The food is well prepared and tasty and not expensive. I especially like their barbacued pork sandwich dinner plate, but everything we've had there has been good. Waiters and waitresses are friendly and work hard to please, but let you be. Paxton's Grill is refreshing relief from chain restaurants. Hope it stays that way for ever. Pros: Good food, Fun to go there, Inexpensive Cons: , A wobbly table! more
