I have been everywhere in the world to get my hair cut, and still I can say I have never had a hair cut like this before. It was the first time I have ever gotten out of the hairstylist?s chair after having my hair cut feeling as if I just had a religious experience. No kidding here! He took his time and quietly some how made me feel so calm, relaxed and beautiful that I walk out feeling completely renewed. Pros: Todd! Cons: Parking more

I've recently visited Miami and needed my hair done. So I chose Paula's Salon on Collins Avenue in South Beach. Brandy, a colorist worked with me on choosing a hair color, which turned out beautiful. She made me feel comfortable and I am very happy with the results. Everyone was friendly. Pros: Skilled colorist. Brandy knew what she was doing. more

A hidden gem! It is worth the search to find it 4/18/2007

Imagine what it feels like to have a really cool friend who does hair because that it what a trip to Paula's is like. Actually two really cool friends: Paula and Todd. There is none of that snootiness so endemic to South Beach. Paula actually listened to what I wanted my hair to look like and by the time I got out of her chair I felt like we'd known each other forever. Todd is nothing short of meticulous. I have never gotten out of a stylists chair and liked the look they gave me, until Todd cut my hair. I will go back until they are too old and tired to cut and color my hair! Also, I didn't have to wait weeks for an appt! Pros: very skilled, very friendly Cons: street parking more

Shakira is the best colorist!! I am from Boston and have spent years going to the highly esteemed salons on Newbury Street. My husband and I spend quite a bit of time here and after a very labor intensive search, I had the pleasure of finding Shakira. The way I found her was I saw a very attractive woman in Neiman Marcus with the most gorgeous hair color, and I asked her who colored her hair. She raved about Shakira so I took her advice and have never looked back.!! The color is very sophisticated and natural, with the perfect combination of highlights and lowlights. And the added bonus is that Shakira is such a warm person - you feel like you've been friends with her for years. Pros: Most talented colorist in Miami - no attitude more

I went to this salon because of all the great reviews on Citysearch, I was scheduled with Shakira for color and Alberto for a trim and boy was I pleasantly surprised Shakira was sooo nice , professional and my color turned out great, It seemed effortless for her, amd then she turned me over to Alberto and he was so nice as well and he trimmed my hair exactly as I wanted and I left there looking and feeling great! Pros: parking in 2 different lots Cons: they are busy so call in advance more

I found a Real stylist who only specializes in precision cutting and runway type styling?I?m so excited?.for those of you who have never been to a real stylist like the ones who work on fifth ave on the upper east side of New York ?Manhattan? the same ones you read about in the fashion Magazines?I have found him and in fact he has worked on the upper east side of Manhattan on fifth avenue!!! And he was just in last Febuary?s Allure Magazine?. Not to mention he is a fashion photographer as well!! Pros: Great hair cut Cons: Parking can be an issue more

Best color/highlights and fastest--long lasting blowout every is Brian Thompson 11/21/2006

I have been using Brian for a year and I have never ever had more compliments on my color or cut. If you are tired of using the same old person like I was for 15 years (who was famous)--you need to try Brian. He is a master at extentions also. You will love his ability and his personality. Always on time and very professional. I know you don't know me--but my friends who know me always come to me for the right places to go --because they know I only use the best. I have found the best in Brian. Cons: sometimes parking can be an issue more

Can't say enough about how happy I am with my haircut. After a big mistake done to my hair, I went to Todd. I don't know how in the world he fixed the little hair I had left, but he did! Since you get there, he starts looking at your hair, how it will look better on you, he sits down and listen to what you want and from there is like making art out of your hair. Beacuse that's what he is, a hair artist! more

Miracle on Collins Avenue 9/30/2006

I just moved here and found Paula's on this website. I went into Paula's on a Saturday morning with frizzy, dry, overcolored hair and left several hours later with phenomenal hair that received compliments everywhere I went! Paula welcomed me and listened to me then concocted color that warmed my complexion. Todd then took over and, somehow, looked into my heart and created the haircut I have always craved. I danced out of the salon feeling stunningly beautiful....I am stilled amazed at the transformation! Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! Pros: Color and Haircut!!!!!! more

never going back, kept waiting too short 8/21/2006

ok my stylist smelled of beer and showed up late for my haircut, then he cut it however he wanted. i said i wanted a trim which he agreed and then proceeded to cut 3"" off.......i hated him and the place. Pros: good location Cons: kept waiting and no parking more
