I have been going to Paula's salon for several years now getting my hair cut and styled by todd"" who has always been masterful, attentive to detail, consistent accuracy and in fact has been one of the best hairstylist I've ever been to anywhere. Todd is a artist, and expert at what he does who lives up to his credentials and every good spoken word said about him on this site. I would trust anyone else with my ""loss""! He's the best!! more

Paula YES Todd NO 10/10/2011

I don't know what happened but I walked out without what probably would have been gorgeous highlights (first time Paula - a doll) except TODD buthchered my hair and cut them all out. What part of ""the length is good""(first thing said) did he not understand I'll never know. VERY diasppointed after growing hair for a year and a half to only have it short again and the cut...bad,bad,bad! Very apparent that he did need his glasses? more

I've lived in different places around the Globe so my experience with stylists has been incredibly varied. From obscenely expensive high-end salons in Paris to quaint shops in Sante Fe, Todd has been the best, period. To be honest, I've never been enthusiastic enough about a stylist to write a review . The Haircut lasted for an amazingly long time, It was very precise, gave me great body and styling options, while being as simple and easy to care for as I prefer my hair to be. My previous stylist?s errors were rectified by his technique and talented, which made all the difference in how much the quality of the overall look of my hair improved. The process was unusually consultative - he explained every step and listened to my likes and dislikes, and made absolutely sure we were on the same page before he started cutting. Best Hair Color, Cut, and Blow Dry - Paula and Todd 4/10/2011

Moving to Miami Beach has known challenges for your hair - heat, humidity, and salt water. What I didn't know was to look out for top name salons charging 400 and 500 dollars to turn my hair orange, yellow, and red. I have had this experience at 5 different salons. Finally I decided to try Paul's salon. Paula, Instead of saying OMG who did this to your hair said - No worries, this can be fixed I do it everyday. It seems that my Miami Beach hair story was not a unique one. Paula has been seeing this same story over and over again for years. Paula did what she promised and more. My hair color looks like nature made it plus some (thanks to the Brazillian Keratin making my hair humidity proof) - yes!!! I followed up the hair color with a haircut and blow dry by Todd - The best at what he does. These are professional people who are not only talented but take great pride in their work. more

Miami's Top Hairstylist ""Todd"" 2/10/2011

I went down to Miami for a business thing, from Manhattan where I live,""born and raised"", and I was recommended by a close friend to get a haircut and blow out from Todd Phillip at Paula?s Salon. I don?t ""ever"" stray from the Madison Avenue area for my hair needs because I am ?extremely? and very particular with who touch?s my hair, but my friend was so impressed with Todd?s talent and finesse, I felt it would be worth taking a chance, not to mention her hair looked better then I have ever seen it. I must say once I sat in Todd?s chair I knew I was in the right place. He is indeed, extremely talented at what he does, and I must mention his hands have the touch, leaving you wanting more!lol I?m planning on making extra business in Miami and feel I have and extra reason to fly down. DEBBIE IS THE BEST!!!!!!! 12/15/2010

just had such a great experience at Paula's Salon in South Beach!!! I should start by saying I am kind of a hair snob and even though I've been living in Miami for almost 2 years, I still get my hair cut in NYC with my trusted New York stylist. I was VERY hesitant to try a salon in Miami. However, due to South Florida humidity.... I NEEDED KERATIN ASAP!!!!! This was a PERFECT experience.... the salon is immaculate, the people are very down to earth and nice, and my stylist was AMAZING!!!!! You MUST ask for DEBBIE. She is great!!!!!! I have a LOT of hair and she was super professional, thorough and had amazing attention to detail. She asked me to follow up with her and let her know how I like it, and that said a lot to me. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND DEBBIE and Paula's Salon!!!!!!! more

Debbie is the best! 12/14/2010

I was in Miami for a wedding about a month ago and went to Paula's to get a blowout. I was set up with Debbie Stredwick, and after chatting with her for five minutes, realized how experienced she was. So I made the quick decision to get a haircut too, since I needed one. My hair is wavy and past the shoulders, and lately it seems easy for stylists to screw it up, but I was SO HAPPY with the results. Her hair cut was exactly what I was hoping for, and I still love it a month later. This is a total change for me from my last four bad haircuts from supposedly top (and expensive) NYC stylists. Debbie is pretty new at Paula's, so her name isn't out yet, but she is definitely the stylist you should book with. She's also really friendly, down to earth and easy to chat with. It's too bad I don't live in Miami otherwise I'd be one of her regulars. Thanks Debbie! more

I've paid lots and lots of money at several different ""high-end"" salons (e.g. Oribe) and have been severly disappointed with the quality of the hair stylist's work. Yes, I am in love with Todd Phillip, because he has taken my hair to new levels of success!!!, which took nothing more then the stroke of his wonderful hands on my hair, not to mention an incredible neck massage if you are lucky! I have long hair, and he cut, and detailed the hair around my face, in a way that no one has ever before. His blow dry is amazing in itself, and very worthwhile because it lasted! If I have to leave Miami I will have to find a way to take him with me, because now that I have him I don?t want to loose him, and my boyfriend will just have to understand. more

Magic hands of Todd 6/4/2010

Here is a wonderful hairstlyst who is worth of my loyalty and for me to schedule for my trip back and forth from New York. My hair is simple yet Todd had cut in detail around my face which accentuated my lips and gave me bang which I never thought I could wear but it works so well!! He really spends the time and I highly recommend him because his hands are magic. One thing is when you call for an appointment you need to demand to be booked with him because they had tried to give me to someone else!!! And I said absolutely not!! I will wait for Todd !! which I am so very happy I did that! My next trip I will also get my hair highlighted with Paula as he highly recommended?I also had a wonderful manicure and pedicure with Monique she has such a wonderful touch that between the two of them I was in HEAVEN! You know most people write review after their first experience which in my case is not the way it is as I have had my hair cut by Todd a few times before this review. I moved away from Miami and I came back for a visit an I went straight to have todd cut my hair right from the airport. It is all about his hands...and I guess the fact that he specializes in hair cutting as only which makes such a remarkable difference to a point where the hair cuts that I get from him are supreme to higher level of detail and excellence, sometimes subtle yet completely accurate and correct. I am a person who needs quality and I have discerning taste for life which is why I will now go the extra mile and come to Miami or if need fly him to me, if he would be willing!! Now that i know the difference I am screwed in a way because of the distance but I dont care at this point do to the way I feel when my hair is correct FINALLY!! Wow Hair sculptor for sure.! I had one of the best if not the best hair cut of my life!! Todd Philip had done something I have yet to experience and I don?t know how he did it! He paid close attention to what me need were by asking question and listening the cut my locks as if he was sculpting my hair with precision of checking and re-checking. Too Pricey for what you get 2/9/2010

I received a haircut and blow out by Todd due to many of the reviews I read. I will say my cut and blow dry was OK I was not impressed. Being fairly new in Miami I have not found a Great Stylist. This is very frustrating but I will continue to look. Pros: Close to Home Cons: $$$ more

Two In One Todd Phillip 9/23/2009

After looking on the Internet for a hairstylist to do my hair for my Miami wedding, I came across a few and Todd seemed to catch my interest. I went in for a trial and decided to have him cut my hair as well and too my supprise he was more the I expected! Im very happy which is a hard thing for me to say because I have been around the block when it comes to hairstylist. He is truly an artist and not only am I going to become a faithful client for hair cutting, styling, and, not to mention trying the Brazillian Keratin Treatment with him ""at a reasonable price no less"" but he will be doing my hair for my wedding and if that is not enough he will also stay for the wedding and be a part of the photography team because he is also a great photographer! Wow what a talent find indeed! more

I was looking for a new hairdresser, read about Todd from allure magazine, tried him out, great guy and I loved my haircut! He pays attention to what flatters the face and the specific hair type he is cutting. Highly recommended! Pros: Great haircut, experienced hairdresser, not over priced! Cons: none! more

Recently I researched where to get my haircut and I very happily found todd phillip,...who is a true hair Master!! at the Paula?s salon in Miami beach?He was very methodical in his approach to cutting hair and I knew I was in the hands of a pro even before he revealed his training was from Manhattan on 5th avenue, which was very apparent to me as I have lived as a model some years ago and know the difference. My hair is almost platinum and gets a bit frizzy in the humidity of the summer so he recommended me letting him do the Brazilian Keratin Hair straightening treatment I have to say?between the artfully cut haircut and the Brazilian treatment I have been transformed into a new woman!! I went to to get a blow-dry and I had decided after seeing todd in action while doing a hair cut to have him trim my hair. I am so happy I did because he was spectacular in his execution and haircutting abilities. He blew my lock with ""passion"" and I felt it with every pass of the brush. Highly recommend this to anyone looking for something that gives more then you expect. :) Pros: Hair cuts more

I live in Michigan and was getting married in Miami. I was so nervous because I was going into everything totally blind and just taking peoples word for it. I had my hair done by Todd at Paula's salon and it turned out amazing! I was even more surprised with their prices. My up-do was only 80 dollars. If anyone has ever been to South Beach they can tell you that EVERYTHING there is expensive. My hair was so soft and looked great for days. He shared a lot of great information with me on how to keep my hair healthy. If you are planning a wedding in that area and you are looking for a place to go....GO HERE. You will be so pleased. more

Todd phillip turns me into Victoria secret 4/20/2009

Greatest hair cut ever. This was a wonderful experience. Todd cuts hair like a true pro with the eye for detail and finesse of and artist. I felt like a Victoria secret model leaving the salon! After his assistant shampooed my hair he even came over to finish the Conditioning treatment and his hands put me in such a relaxed state I didn?t want It to ever end ! sigh. I work for a prominent modeling agency in New York City and I have been getting my hair cut by Todd Phillip in Miami for some time now but unfortunately running back to Miami for a haircut is not allows possible. When I have had my hair done by people here in New York and may I add prominent New York hairstylist I have discovered one thing, point blank ?Todd Phillip? really knows his stuff, end of story. more
