I am a dancer at PMD and have been there for over 10 years, including when it was PAT. When the studio was owned by Lisa the studio was wonderful and since then the studio has only improved. Paula is always working to find and hire new teachers to add to her already wonderful staff. All of the students work very hard and the advanced students take on average 6 hours of ballet a week so it is difficult to believe that we have ""terrible technique."" Everyone at our studio is like a family and warm and welcoming to new people. Paula is especially kind. She cares about all of her students and always wants the best for them. All of the other teachers and staff are also very friendly. Our studio has only been competing for 3 years, but we have done extremely well. We are not ""big headed"", just confident and proud, and we have every right to be. We have worked hard and it shows in our performances and in all of the awards we have EARNED. The Nutcracker is a great experience especially for the younger children. Paula puts her heart and soul into the production every year and it is a wonderful thing to be a part of. Every performance at PMD is completely optional. However, when you decide to participate, you have to understand that it does take a committment, but that is acceptable. Recently, PMD dancers had the opportuinity to perform in Walt Disney World for the third time. It was definately an unforgettable experience for everyone and we had an amazing time. As for Paula, she truly wants what is best for her students. PMD is a great group of people that can't be explained without being there yourself. All of these rude comments about PMD are rediculous. You people are basing your accusations on rumors. ONE person was asked to leave the studio because of illegeal and distruptive behaviors, which would not have been acceptable anywhere especially after multiple offences. Also, Paula's prices are not higher than anywhere else. And please learn how to spell clique.
Pros: teachers, hard working students, location, performance opportunity, family oriented, ""one for all and all for one"" atmosphere
