Keep you at your best 3/2/2010

I've been going to Paul Mammola's for over 14 years. I've recommended to many friends, and know a number of people who go there too. Paul has cut my hair and advised me on color and style, and people stop me to ask where I get my haircut! Can't ask for more than that. Somar does my color and it is consistently great. Danielle is very professional and is always accommodating even when I have to make changes. The assistants are excellent. And Spa Blossom is great for pedicure/manicures. The best fashion accessory a person can have is a GREAT HAIRCUT and that is what you get at this salon!! I have gone to Paul Mammola's for more than ten years. Paul cuts my hair and Tina does my coloring. Every four weeks, it's like dropping in on family friends. The salon is comfortable, hospitable and always offering new ideas on cuts, colors and trends. Salon is well run and on time. Paul ensures that everyone is treated well. Paul is a surperb stylist and supportive of any change a client may want in her/his hairstyle. Nice spot for a style 9/4/2009

My friends and I like the salon. Leslie does a great job on me and my freind likes Summer. I referred another friend who had Melissa, she liked the cut but said she wouldn't go back to Melissa. Pros: Love my hair, and it's close. Cons: Not everyone seems professional more

lovely experience 4/11/2009

The receptionist was very pleasant to me, even called to confirm my appointment. Based on several recommendations I had Leslie cut my hair. Could not have been more pleased. Not only were her suggestions helpful, she showed me how to keep it looking this way. I love it! I read other comments about the price. I could not have walked off Newbury St looking any better and this was a fraction of that price. Pros: stylish and affordable more

read the remarks on the salon and than went...dont know who that was who wrote the last posting... Very unimpressed with what I saw..The desk was very un organized and the receptionist was not nice at all and as for leslie I thought she rushed me and had her own opinion on how my hair should be and didnt care about how I felt.With how much I spent there,I would try somewhere else. The Paul Mammola salon is an outstanding salon in every way. Staff are courteous, friendly, and professional, and Paul is generally in house, greeting everyone and ensuring that your experience is a good one. Danielle at the front desk is a delight. I highly recommend Leslie as a very precise and talented hair stylist, although there are many talented stylists available at the salon. When you go, also check out the wonderful Spa Blossom on site?also great! more

if you want to be over charged and have bad service this the place for you 5/13/2008

I used to go to rosina,then she left .The receptionist was not helpful at all,acually she was rude.She was trying to give me too girls I didn't know.Than she refered me to somar.I went and it was ok.I thought she had no personalitiy and my hair was just ok.What made me stop coming was that when I went back in the price went up quit a bit.THEY TOLD ME THAT WAS SOMAR'S NORMAL PRICE.the net time it went up again.Sorry I'm no fool.I guess the stylist can make up their own prices when they need more money. Tried the salon on a recommendation,I had Leslie do my hair,I thought she didn't really care what I wanted she did what she wanted and then charge me an ingrediable amount of money. Wasn't worth it at all. more

Worst Hair dresser 2008 - Tina 3/8/2008

Ugh! This woman Tina was recommended by the salon as a good curly hair dresser. She was absolutely HORRIBLE. The hair/layers on the whole left side of my head was 1/2"" longer than the hair on the right side of my head. You can't get any worse than that! Pros: nice selection of food and beverages available for customers Cons: can't cut curly hair more

I've tried alot of hairdressers and was going to go to a barber,than my wife told me to try tina,wow what a surpise she was great.I don,t have that much hair ,what I do have she makes it look like I do and she makes me feel special and cared for,it may sound corny but when you do'nt have alot to fuss over a little kindness gos a long way . more

Service with a smile 4/9/2007

I grew up in Lexington and have been going to Paul Mammola's for years. Their new salon is right around the corner from the old location and is more visible to the public. I've been going to Somar since she started at the salon. My hair always looks amazing even when I am overdue for a cut and color. She has great suggestions and really individualizes each cut! I've even sent my boyfriend in and she gave him a great male cut. The receptionist always has a smile and is inviting. The assistants do a great job with the wash and rinse. Its like getting a scalp massage. Highly recommend Somar. Cons: prices more

After reading the review on Tina,I went and had my hair done..The review was right on the money.Tina was great.The receptionist and the assistants need work on how they dress and how to treat clients,but over all a nice visit. Pros: parking Cons: Dress code more

better than boston salons 1/14/2006

You need to go to this salon and meet tina, once you meet her you'll never need to go anywhere else.she so deliteful,she really listens and cares about how you look and feel.I,ve been to about 25 salons and now I don't need to ever look again ,I've found home more
