Patty's Critter Collection

Try asking a question at this store, and you get a monosyllable. I asked about a certain kind of fish I was interested in, and did they have it? "No," was all I got from him. "Will you be getting any in?" "No," again. No personality whatsoever. I think he's Patty's husband, but not sure. A younger guy was much nicer the next time I went in. He was very helpful. But on the whole, most times I've been in there, I got the "flat affect" guy who didn't even seem to care if they sold anything or not. And I also noticed they are NOT knowledgeable about fish. I asked for a male fish, and got home with it and realized it was a female. So if you are looking for something specific in a fish, you'd better know how to tell what sex it is, because they don't know! The place used to be super clean and odorless. Now it is just as bad as other stinky pet stores I've been in. Very disappointed. I would not buy a bird, kitten or pup from this store no matter what. The reviews are terrifying! more

We took our children to pick out a dog at "The Critter Collection" and they sold me a dog that was Infected with parvo. "Charlie Dog" died 5 days after we purchased him and was dying in front of my Children. They also Injected him with a Micro chip, when they are not licensed Vet.s. This place needs to be shut down.-God Bless more

I'm in this pet store often buying crickets. I like to buy their cricket cards. You pay for a card and they punch how many you've used. You get more crickets for your money doing it that way. The pet store is large, clean and the employees are helpful. I would say their little pricey on their pets though. The parking is not bad since they located in a shopping center. more

I have taken my children to this pet store several times in the past 4 years that I have lived in this area. Each time coming away telling myself I will never go there again. Our last visit was finally truly our last. My son purchased an equana, at an exorbinant amount as we later found out. We were literally in that store for 45 minutes before a clerk was able to help us. The clerks were standing around talking with each other and making no attempt to help, even after several requests to be serviced. The equana died within 24 hours. I called the pet store to inquire about their 24 hour guarantee. I was told I would have to call back several days later and speak to the girl who sold it to us. After two weeks of calling WHEN they told me she would be working and she was never in I gave up. more
