This is a real "bar" bar, with a good music system, tv's tuned to sports, a legion of locals, a few drunks, and the best minimally dressed bartenders in the neighborhood. It's not upscale, and not for the martini-minded, but it's a good hangout. One of the unpromoted bargains is at lunch: buy a sandwich at the window that connects Pat's to Kerry's sandwich shop next door, and you'll get a coupon for a free drink at the bar. The sandwiches and sides are generous, so your beer won't send you back to work all loopy. You can even tip, and walk out for less than ten bucks. Tough to beat.
Pros: Easy on the eyes bartenders, sound system, neighborhood feel
Cons: Occasional down and outers
