You will not regret coming here! 6/13/2010

The best chicken fettuccine alfredo you will ever have. The chicken is extremely tender and juicy. They serve warm crispy rolls with butter and toast with fresh tomatoes and herbs. I've been coming to this place since I was a kid and the quality hasn't changes a bit. Not to mention the price. I come here often with my boyfriend and we both get the chicken alla fettuccine alfredo. Only $40! I haven't tried any of their desserts yet but they bring out a tray of their selections and they look quite decadent! Pros: Amazing Food more

Great food for good price 3/1/2009

Moved couple of years ago to the neighborhood and I 've been going to Pasta Lovers once a week. Great quality, generous portions, and the best part is the price. One of my favorite, clams origanata, the black linguiny with baby shrimp, and veal sorentino. One of the pros is the parking lot attendant. Pros: Great Value Cons: Decor updated more

Great food without the wait! 2/14/2009

We started going to Pasta Lovers about a year ago because we were looking for a place that had good food and parking. We had driven past the place a few times, but never went because it looked like a diner. We went on a Friday night and we were pleasantly surprised. The bread is warm, crusty and delicious. They give you complementary bruschetta (which I love). We don't typically get appetizers (don't really need it with the bread and bruschetta). I normally order one of the specials and my fiance normally orders one of their shrimp dishes. We have always been happy with the quality, taste and portions here. With the specials we get a free dessert (the mousse cake is amazing). We love that we don't have to wait for a table. You cannot go in looking for a classic, romantic italian place. It was a diner at one point and the furniture still suggests that it was. BUT....to have a place that is consistently good, reasonably priced with parking cannot be passed up. Pros: Parking, reasonably priced, food always very good Cons: sometimes the wait for food can be long (but they do appease you with free bruschetta) more

Beware so disappointed. Bad and burned tastless food.... 7/17/2008

Okay. So me and my fiancee been going to pasta lovers quite a few times. At first i loved it, especially me being greek i luv me myself some pasta.... but yesterday when i got home from work we just thought about going and did around 8 pm.. First we get there everything is okay. Then i ordered fried calamari now me being greek I know about calamari you would think they would fully cook them no wrong it was white not even close to a brown color i didnt eat it didnt want to get food posioning, also the guy next to us had the same problem with his calamari and he returned it back as well, then me and my fiancee order the easiest meal chicken cutlet parmigiane with penne for one there was like 8 pieces of penne lol and my chicken tasted tastless and burned.. the chicken was black and the mozzarella cheese must of been lite cause it tasted horrible.. i was so frustrated to pay 60 dollars for a disgusting meal.. All i have to say they need to fire there chef. I will neva go back what a shame so DISAPPOINTED in PASTA LOVERS... just wanted to share my bad experience with you guys and to know what ur gonna get by going there good luck...bye... Pros: nice area but thats it Cons: food was burned and tasteless what a disappointment... Horrible..... more

Good Italian Food 6/11/2008

Ok so...I have been going to Pasta Lovers for quite some time and it's great. Anyone that comes to visit me from out of town I make sure they have dinner here. Actually my husband and I have friend who calls us and won't stop talking about the Frutti di mari dish (seafood). As soon as you sit down they serve your fresh bruschetta. It's so good I wish I could make it a meal sometimes. Then the servers come around with fresh hot bread and butter. The staff is almost always friendly and eager to serve you. They have an inexpensive pre fix menu that I love that includes soup or salad, entree, coffee and desert. They let you choose from all the deserts that they have and they?re really good. I highly recommend having the chicken fettuccini alfredo, trust me it's nothing like you have had before, it is delicious. Please go visit them, give them a chance. You will not be disappointed........actually I'm hungry. Pros: Food,Parking lot, drinks Cons: Ever changing staff more

Great pasta place... 4/6/2008

I've been going there for years, and I think its a great local restaurant. It doesn't pretend to be anything fancy.. just a good pasta place. And that it is. You get a good meal at a decent price.. HUGE pasta portions... everyone takes home a doggie bag, just so much pasta. Personally I love the ZITI SICILIAN.. with eggplant pieces... sometimes I get the SPAGETTI SALMON. Both really good. Again, nothing fancy, but a great meal. Staff is very nice, too... Pros: HUGE pasta dishes, easy parking, good value Cons: not a fancy place more

Not freshy & Fishy 3/7/2008

We went there because the restaurant was located near our apartment, but it was disappointed. The food came out not even warm which was ridiculous. Moreover, we all did order pasta with seafood, then we realized that seafood wasn't fresh and shrimps were kind of fishy and not fresh as well. Thus, we didn't finish our dishes and left with frustration. Or maybe we just expect too much for $18/dish which you only get 8 shrimps + pasta + sauce and nothing else.\r \r However, there is a thing we could be satisfied which was their bread. All in all, I couldn't be brave enough to recommend this restaurant to anyone. Pros: Bread is good. Cons: The rest is below par. more

Eh.....not so good 12/13/2007

Obviously there are NOT enough good italian restaurants(either that or they are too far away(*cough*olive garden*cough*) around in Queens, NY, so i decided to look up some good Italian restaurants in queens, and i came along this one, which was convenient to our location, and got some good reviews, all in the 4.5 to 5 star range, so me and my mom decided to go there for a nice dinner. Well, it wasn't really that nice...\r \r First of all, it was not very fun at all, which was one objective of the night, the only fun that we had was my mom colored the placemats, and thats not very fun to begin with. Then we got the menu. Sure there were alot of foods to choose from, from pasta plates to dishes with meat like chicken and veal, like traditional italian restaurants. But the pasta WASN'T to die for at all. The selection was nice, and the waiter was good as well, but the food wasnt too great. I got the Penne alla Vodka, which was ok, despite the lack of heat and cooking, being that it was very undercooked. My mom got the Spaghetti Bolognese, and once again, undercooked and not even warm. She didnt even finish the dish, nor did I.\r \r Then there was the drink menu, which, being 15, i could not get, but i was shocked at one of their drinks, called the Pasta Lovers Uppercut. It was a mix of rum, gin, whiskey, and other alcoholic drinks with juices and Sprite. Being that it Included the highest alcohol volume alcoholic drinks, this will get you wasted in a matter of minutes.\r \r overall: BAD! \r \r Pros: I got some good soda from them at least Cons: Everything more

A different kind of place, great for pasta lovers 10/13/2007

I've been looking for a place like this for a while. Years ago, this location used to be a dinner, so I avoided the place for a couple of years. BIG MISTAKE. They have their own parking lot, friendly servers, adecuate prices and EXCELLENT food. We spent a very pleasent evening there, and we'll be back soon. Pros: Parking, friendly servers, great food. Cons: Decor more

Great food, great price, over all great little place to come back again and again. 5/22/2007

I used to live around the area, a short drive to this wonderful gem in Queens.\r We love the food and service there. It is the first place my baby daughter is willing to sit through the whole meal.\r Their lobster ravioli is to die for and the steaks are surprisingly great for a place like this. \r Price is very reasonable and service is friendly. But for some reason always see new wait staff there. Can't seem to find a regular waiter for me. \r They even have their own parking lot, which is a nice touch and a crowed pleaser for me. B/c when I want to go out for dinner I don't want to spent 1/2 hour looking for parking and then wait for a table.\r I have not spent more then 5 minutes waiting for a table at this place.\r LOVE IT LOVE IT LOVE IT Pros: food, service, price, location more

Great customer service in and out! 1/24/2007

This is a comfortable place with consistently good food. We celebrate every special occasion there because of the service and great food. Pros: ambience, staff in and out more
