Passionate Dishes

I worked a 17.5 hour day for passionate dishes. I agreed to be compensated for helping with set up as well as shucking oysters. The event was a Nightmare!!! I arrived and was then told that my vehicle was needed to transport everything to the location. My car was the only vehicle used. I have no idea what they would have done if I didn’t show up in an SUV. As soon as we arrived at the lactation the staff began drinking (10am) and CHAIN smoking. It was disgusting. Cigarettes were hanging out of staff’s mouth as they drank beer and prepared food. I as well as another staff member cooked majority of the food and worked nonstop for 17.5 hours straight well the owner (Terri) just drank and smoked. I am now dealing with not getting compensated. I have sent emails and called and received no response. After looking into this company at a better perspective it seems like this is a common issue. \r I would not recommend this carting company to anyone. Not for hire or to work for. Whoever is leaving bad reviews online for this business and slandering the owner's name sounds like a loser who can't hold a job. I've used Passionate Dishes twice and I will hire Terri Previte again in a heartbeat the next time the need arises. She is nothing short of professional and the food is always top notch! I also have no hesitations referring her to anyone who needs catering done. more

We used this caterer to host a party this past weekend for our friends visiting from out of state. They were awesome! It was a pre-superbowl theme and we wanted all the typical nosh of an actual superbowl party (my husband and I were going to be travelling that actual day so we thought we would have the theme) They were perfect! Everything from the dips & appetizers, to the main dishes (they grilled for us out on the deck god bless them with icy rain) were excellent! We had the main chef Terri and her assistant chef as well as a bartender. We didn't have to worry about a thing-they had it handled from the minute they entered our house. They even put up with our annoying little puppy at their feet the entire time while serving. I'm really pleased with everything since it's our first time actually bringing in outside help to a party. They are definitely on our list for our fourth of July party this year! We can't wait - we are already in planning mode! more

We have used this caterer dozens of times. They continually amaze us with unique creations every time. We consider Terri our personal chef and she actually has the keys to our home so all we have to do is call her a day earlier to let her know we are having a dinner party. She shows up, cooks, serves and everything is left clean. She is quite the find since I no longer enjoy cooking like I used to however, I love to entertain. We don't even request a menu, she just knows what we don't like and any guest's allergies. We pleaded with her to come to Florida for the Winter but she promises she will fly down as needed. more
