Pashgian Brothers

I recently visited the Pashgain Brothers showroom in Pasadena and found the service to be outstanding! Before Pashgain Bros I had been all over Los Angeles and I did not have good experiences. When I finally arrived at Pashgain Brothers I was relieved to find a store where I felt comfortable. They were very helpful and patient when I presented my specifications. (sizes, colors, patterns, price, etc) The guys were pulling rugs from the back and really going out of their way to make sure I got what I was looking for. They have a great selection. We were looking for an antique Persian rug and they had some wonderful specimens in excellent condition. However, when it came to pricing, they set their prices what I consider very high. While their rugs may sell for significantly less, I could get more from the stores down the street and experience A LOT less negotiating. For that reason, I saw them as somewhat of a pain and never got to the point of actually viewing their rugs in my house. Additionally, the other stores in Pasadena were all over getting us to try a rug in our house. They all wanted to deliver THAT DAY for a trial period. Pashgian seemed to have a full schedule and that it would have to be scheduled for sometime later in the week. The other stores seemed to want my business more in both pricing and service.\r \r Finally, it is a beautiful shop and worth a visit. more

When I first went in there Gordon was very helpful, but when we started talking about the price, he was a real SOB, telling me if I can't afford it I should go to Kmart. He's just another greedy millionaire. He lives in a beautiful house next to the Rose Bowl in Pasadena, and drives a cadillac. I know this because the friend that recommended the place is his neighbor. \r \r I didn't appreciate the dirty carpet ripoff. Worst place ever. \r Would give it a zero star rating if I could. more

I've not had good experiences with rug dealers in Los Angeles. They are typically condesending, rude, and frankly, dishonest. But David and Gordon at Pashgian Bros. are really good guys. They do NOT hard sell, they do NOT misrepresent their merchandise, and they do NOT charge based on "what they can get out of you". They offer exceptional pieces at fair prices. And they take the time to teach you about the rugs......a practically unknown virtue in the rug dealer community. \r \r I would highly recommend Pashgian Bros. if you're looking for new or antique rugs.
