Pasadena City College looks like a nice junior college. However, because of the over crowded students coming from the surrounding areas, many selective classes are pretty hard to ...

Best Flea Market in the Orange County/LA Area! 6/1/2009

My husband and I have been to almost every flea market in this area. A different one every Sunday of the month. The PCC one is by far our favorite. Admission is free compared to $5-$8 per person at others. The selection is huge! We always find something, whether it was what we were looking for or not. We love the booths that sell used books for $1 each! If you're into flea markets, you gotta check this one out. Pros: free admission Cons: long drive from Costa Mesa more

No FREE Parking 10/26/2008

The parking lots are not FREE, I made this mistake and got a $25 ticket. That said, in the garage it's $2 to park, you have to buy the ticket from one of the ticket machines. The flea market is FREE to attend, and you will find good deals. Two lots outside and three levels in the parking garage which is great during hot sunny days. more

Red rug 7/7/2008

I went to get a red rug and believe it or not I found it. The price was right and the lady was very nice. The parking is ok, but the day was wonderful. I love my new rug! more

Worst Flea Market Ever! 7/2/2007

Don't Go! This flea market got revamped in a BAD way! To shop there, you need to make your way thru many obstacles to reach each 6 selling lots! There's two outside lots, but are hard to get to because of curbs, and speedbumps you must cross, also the constant flow of cars coming in on this driveway, so be careful not to get runned down. There is a parking garage with four selling levels, and POOR air ventilation. The first few hours of the flea market, is cars coming in with the exhaust fumes not disapatting, the odor of the diesel fuels, as well as other harmful agents remain in the air. Sellers keep rolling into the parking garages well after 8am, and the garage remains an unpleasant enviroment to be exposed to. The garage is lighted, but actual sunlight would aid better to determine the actual condition of the antiques. Bathroom access is a nightmare. There are several restrooms available, and they are nice enough, but are quite a trek to go to. Also the doors are heavy, and difficult to open, then you have to go down hallways to access a restroom. If you're handicapped, don't go, don't let the access ramps fool you, it's still a challenge to access all of the selling lots, and bathrooms. There's elevators to access the 4-floors, but they are only in one corner, and there are lines to use them. So stair climbing is a must. I also don't reccommend this flea market to the elderly, it's very easy for them to trip on the curbs outside to the outside selling lots. I shopped there on July 1, 2007 from 5am to 9:30am, and I was so physically sick from having breathed in the exhaust fumes, I'm fit, and aged 39, and will not come back. I feel sorry for the sellers to sell in such an ugly, unhealthful enviroment. I hope people ban together and complain to the city of Pasadena about this flea market, it seems like some kind of accident waiting to happen. more

Small-scale greatness 2/16/2007

This venue is smaller than the Rose Bowl flea market, and you can only catch it once a month, but there's still a lot of ground to cover and bargains abound at this place. The refreshment tents have awesome food, but it can get kinda warm outside. Overall, a good experience. more

Get your Thrift On at Free Monthly Flea Market 2/14/2007

I much prefer PCC over the gigantic Rose Bowl Flea Market. While PCC is much smaller, it still takes several hours to meander through the vendors located in two outdoor parking lots and one floor of the parking garage. The vendors offer an eclectic mix of collectibles, including clothing, jewelry, records, kitchenware, books, and furniture. Admission is free and the market is held the first Sunday of every month. Be sure to grab lunch at one of the refreshment tents-- the grilled pork kebobs are delicious. Pros: Friendly Vendors, Free Admission, Garage Parking Cons: Can be hot outdoors, Only once a month more

Wow~ 11/8/2002

PCC is great and cheap place to shop ... but only once a month more

Go for the music 8/21/2002

Antiques are great and all but I look forward to this swap meet for one reason... the music. On the east side of the college the parking lot that runs along Colorado & Bonnie is always packed with the music vendors and its hard not to find something short of a great deal. Everything from vinyl to concert video's can be found. The vendors can be strange at times but friendly and informative none the less. more
