Great, fast service. Will visit again. My only request would be more delivery options, as for a part that costs 6 bucks, weighs 3 ounces and would have fit into a normal envelope, I had to pay 15 bucks for a delivery which still took 2-3 weeks, to Canada. But that is not the fault of Parts-People, that's UPS expedited. As I rated, quick and nice service from this company and would happily deal with them again. more

Know how it is when you need a powercord for a laptop? And the battery is old? And a holiday weekend is coming up? And you get that sinking feeling? I do. I did a web search for the cord for my Compaq, found Parts-People.com and could not have been more impressed with the service. The cord went bad on a Thursday afternoon (late) before an upcoming holiday weekend. I had the cord Saturday morning. Fantastic service. Thank you very much. more

A great company to do business with! We had a Designers autocad laptop lose a video card on a Wednesday. A disabling blow to productivity. Ordered a replacement video card from Parts People and had the part in the office and installed Friday morning. It doesn't get much better than that unless you just happen to be located next to an electronics warehouse.\r \r These folks almost always have the part you need! more

Screen repair 10/28/2010

I sent in a laptop that had the screen hanging by a thread. Parts-People sent me back the laptop in perfect working order, for the fraction of the replacement cost. They recommended that a new battery be installed as mine will only run on AC power, but were not pushy at all when I declined. They were very effiecient and very easy to work with. I would not hesitate sending in another laptop for repair in the future. more

If you live in Austin,I challenge you to find a better place 3/27/2010

I go to UT austin and found this place while trying to repair my xps screen. I used to get my parts from this shady place in houston because it was cheap but i'm so glad I found this place. It says on their website how they are small enough to offer great customer support and that couldnt be more true. I was in traffic for an hour trying to get there before closing and the guy at the front stayed an extra 20 min on a FRIDAY past closing time so I could pick up a part. He was even nice enough to direct me on the phone to the front of the store (since I have a horrible sense of direction). I'm trying to think of any con just so I can talk about two sides of an argument, but there really is only one side. So if you are a local, and ever need a part, just stop on by and talk with them. The are extremely knowledgeable and helpful, not to mention nice and easy to talk to. So many other electronics places I've been to just don't care at all about their customers...that and it seems like half of the parts are stolen. Pros: There isnt enough room to write all of the pros. Cons: None more

Great source of parts for Dell laptop computers 3/21/2010

I've spent hours trying to get replacement/repair parts for Inspiron and Latitude notebook PCs from Dell. Those searches usually ended in frustration. Parts People has a great selection of repair and replacement parts at reasonable prices. Their online tool for confirming compatibility of parts with computer models is great. The sorting tool is also very convenient for narrowing the search. Shipping has always been prompt. The parts which I have purchased have all worked fine and have perfectly matched the descriptions on their website. Pros: Carries parts not available from Dell, Reasonable prices Cons: None more

Best quality and price for parts! 3/13/2010

I have been purchasing parts for over 5 years from them. I dont go anywhere else, when I have I regretted it. They are great at packaging to prevent damage in shipping. They are also meticulous when it comes to screening parts for usability and condition quality. I always find what I need and know Im getting an awesome deal! I needed a power cord and adapter for my lap top and the prices locally were far more than I wanted to spend. I was able to get both the power cord and adapter for a fraction of the cost from Parts-People. Everything arrived in tact and within the projected delivery date.
