This is a horrible store, don't go here!! Animals are crammed into tiny cages, and I wouldn't be surprised if they are diseased or genetically defective from inbreeding. There are puppy-mill puppies here. Steer clear!! more

Last year I went to get a puppy purebred Shith Tzu, and already I have one and wanted the couple, the owner of the place showed me some puppies that at first glance seemed Shitz Tzu breed, buy a puppy, but the passage of time the puppy began to grow, you change your look and grew a lot this the size of a Yorkie mixed Chihuahua. also with one leg shorter than the other, pay almost $ 500.00 and all I got was a lie, and although I love my pet is not just me that made ??me.\r It is not good to be lied to people, they do not know the sacrifice we made to purchase this pet, and just so you make money off the labor of others and lying to them. more

The best thing Pet Partner Center could do would be to stop selling animals and take in shelter dogs and cats to help them to find good homes! Reputable breeders do not sell to pet stores! There has been much said about the smell in the store as well as animals with health problems after being purchased! Sounds like puppy mill animals to us! more

My family loves going to this small business owned pet store. We live in Lake Forest in Round Rock. We visit the store at least once a week to buy something our pets need. We have purchased reptiles, amphibians, fish and pet supplies over the years. I love that I can call ahead of time....if I'm in a hurry & ask them to get feeder fish or crickets or bird food ready for me & they will so when I walk in because I'm on a tight schedule it's ready, so I can pay & go. We even rescued a bird once outside & I took my boys to Partners & they had a used cage I purchased which saved me money. I didn't want to go buy a NEW cage at Petsmart for twice the amount. I like the fact that when my boys decide they want another new pet, I can bring a pet (like a bearded dragon) &they will buy it from me/ give me a store credit. We really love the fresh water fish collection. The prices are significantly cheaper than Petsmart for fish and fish food. They've got the best prices around for marine Live Rock!! I shopped around. They also have a great selection of fish and inverts, and if they don't have it, they can order it for you. I've had them order fish for me and they called me as soon as they came in. All these people that are griping about them selling puppies are idiots. Have you ever tried getting a full bred, certified puppy at a shelter? Some people want that and should be able to get it from wherever. more

I am never one to leave a negative review, but I felt compelled to stand up for what is right. I just recently visited Partners for the first time. I am not a fan of pet stores in the first place. I know that animals should not be exploited and sold in such conditions. I can honestly say that I felt ashamed walking into this store. Five minutes after walking through the front doors was all it took before I was heartbroken and in tears. To begin on a light note: No animals should be living in such conditions. All of the animals were in cages way to small for them or crammed in with 50 roommates with no space to even walk around. All of the cages were filthy. The poor puppies couldn't even stand because their little paws were falling through the bottom of the cage, into their own filth. Some of the puppy cages didn't even have food. I do agree, these pups were way to young to be away from their mothers. They should be with her until the day that they go off to a good home. None of the animals seemed to be getting any kind of human interaction, not even the dogs. The staff felt pretty comfortable sitting around instead of taking care of business like cleaning or feeding the animals. Not to mention what happens when the staff leaves at close. With all of the windows painted black, all of those animals just sit there for hours and hours in pitch black. more

I've been to a lot of pet stores in the Austin area-- some good and some bad. Partners Pet Center is my favorite pet store. They have a huge selection of all kinds of pets. I was impressed by how clean and well taken care of all the pets were. Their fish tanks are always super clean. I bought two puppies, a hedgehog, and a fish tank from them-- and Iove them all. The people that work there are all very friendly and always have been very good to me and my family. I would highly recommend Partners to anyone looking for a pet.
