I have worked with Mr. Packer on an extensive home remodeling project where the end result will be a complete home remodeling. I have nothing but great things to say about my experiences with working with Warren on this project. Warren has an amazing ability to envision what could become of a space. He brings a wealth of experience, an artist’s perspective, and a highly skilled, best in class team of subcontractor professionals. Warren has been extremely responsive, very fair in his contracted transactions, and he has always followed through on every commitment. If something was not done right, he fixed it. I bought one if his homes in Colleyville in November 1991 when his company was Packer Group Custom Homes. After being in the house 2 weeks, called with a list of major problems and his phone was disconnected and he was out of business. There were at least 18 of us who lost large amounts of money due to the problems with our home, some only had foundations and still in the middle of building. We had to hire an attorney to work with the title company to clear up a list of mechanic liens he had on our home, costing us more money. I am still finding problems with this house after 21yrs when remodeling, live wires under a built in tub, no insulation in the walls, cheap a/c & heat, my list is too large to put on here. I have saved all of the legal paper work and problems from the day I moved in and cannot believe the city of Dallas or the State of Texas allows this guy to change company name and still build homes. more

NEVER do business with Mr. Packer. We realized hiring him was a huge mistake and fired him halfway into the building process. We hired Bob Bobbitt of Bob Bobbitt Custom Homes to complete our home and couldn't be happier in our decision.\r \r We got involved with Mr. Packer after he won the Frisco Parade of Homes in 2003 (I think). His model home/primary residence was spectacular, and we got sucked in by the bling and his promises. He assured us that he could build less expensively than other builders therefore providing us with built in equity. Do not believe this line of crap, or anything else he says. \r \r We knew we were in trouble when our meetings with him devolved into violent outbursts. We were victims of his belligerence on multiple occasions. I believe he is a dangerous, mentally unstable person. \r \r With 4 bankruptsies, DUI's, multiple lawsuits from bilked investors and banks, and criminal charges filed by us twice, Mr. Packer has a long rap sheet. Why would you want to entrust such a huge investment to someone like that?\r \r The good news is that our home is structrually sound, passing all city inspections with flying colors as well as our personally paid for inspections and was finished out very well but only because of Bob's personal involvement and our micro-managing the entire process.\r \r Building a custom home is a very stressful experience. Go with a Tom Riordan (Balkman-Riordan), Lonny Gray, Bob Bobbit or other well known, reputable builder. Notice they all use their name as their company name. Any wonder why Mr. Packer doesn't? Think about it. If you are up to the challenge of building your dream home, check references! Call these people to find out if the builder was honest, trustworthy and followed through on his promises. Go to one of their job sites and talk to the subs. Find out what they think about the builder. Are they treated with respect? paid on time? or in the case of Mr. Packer paid at all?\r \r By the time we finishd the house (2+ years), we had so many bad experience dealing with Mr. Packer that we decided to sell it. This house will make a great home for someone that has never had to deal with Mr. Packer. He ruined our dream, don't let him ruin yours. more

Parthenon Homes built my home and ""supposedly"" warrantied it for one year. Well it has nearly been a whole year, and Warren Packer (owner) has yet to do one thing to fix the problems with my home. He has scheduled several appointments to come to my home and then he never shows up. I paid close to 2 million dollars for a home that is not 100% complete. What a rip off!!!! Avoid Parthenon Homes at all costs, trust me, I wish I would have. Cons: Rip Off more
