The problems are major and costly to fix if they can even be fixed!! Not honest. Makes promises that are never followed up on even if it is in writing. \r more

I have looked at several homes in the Roanoke area and cannot believe the difference in construction and price of Parsell & Zeigler compared to others I?ve seen. tO: ALL This company DOES stand by their work. If you find anything at all, they will make sure it is taken care of and they are very concerned about your happiness in your home. Ms. Zeigler even called me at home to see if there was anything she needed to do to make my home just as she would want her own. The key is to keep a good relationship with your builder. If you can, get to know her, tell herf what you want and expect. They are human just like us and cannot read our minds. My home was recently built by Parsell & Zeigler. The design is just what I wanted. Construction was on time and professionally done. The general manager went out of his way to help me in any way. I recommend Parsell & Zeigler to anyone building a home. more

Dealing with this builder was a nightmare. Fortunately, we were constantly at the building site checking on stuff because they would have built about 50% of our custom-built home incorrectly. We had floor plans all planned out and approved but the General Contractor on site wasn't following them (there was obviously a communication breakdown between architect and GC) UNTIL he had things pointed out by us. This was just the beginning though ... Pros: Can't really think of even one! Cons: everything they touch more

I find the staff and agents at Parsell and Zeigler to be very personable and helpful. They put quality and affordability in every home they build. Parsell & Zeigler's homes are beautiful. The owners and staff are honest and friendly individuals. This is probably why they are Roanoke's largest home builders. more

Is it possible to give ZERO stars? This company started out okay but in the end was a train wreck. They didn't finish on schedule, didn't want to come back and do touch ups, wouldn't take blame for anything... The poor subcontractors were taken advantage of constantly... I wouldn't recommend them to build my dog a house... Pros: value was okay Cons: they could care less about you... more

House was delayed for almost 1 year, no cable in neighborhood after 2 years! POA is non-existent, everything promised for a POA is not there. They do not abide by their own POA. Were told of many problems while home was being built, only to see them uncorrected at closing, delayed another 2 weeks. Would not correct major problems, ALWAYS stated ""if you do not like it, we will let you out of your contract""!!!! This was stated to MANY home buyers. Had to hire private inspector before closing. After 1 year even though they repaired the same items numerous times, refused to do anymore work. Was told to contact home warranty. Which by the way is useless. Document document document, hire inspector, try to be onsite as much as possible (I built from out of state). They change employees like I changes socks also. No one there can be trusted. Pros: non Cons: to many to list more

The contractor aknowledges areas of improvement. Customers are contacted by mail immediately, thus providing aknowledgement of any inquiries that were addressed to them. A very customer service approach. more
