Return trip. Same. Steak was excellent. Service was slow, with a heavy hand of Argentinian. Definitely not for classic American high speed dinners. Saw a couple blow their too. Meat is excellent and well cooked, though I had to wait for them to grow the cow! Haha. Wine quality has dropped since last year' more

I would not go again to this restaurant again because 1. The waiter was clearly trying to upsell 2. We asked for well done and got bloody meat... had to return again and then burnt our meat!!! what outrage !!! 3. So my husband and I were planing to eat at Las Vacas Gordas for our 22nd anniversery. Since we know most things about each other we are very comfortable around each other and could care less about the clothes we wear. \r \r Anyway as we were driving to eat there, we just so happened to drive by a construction site, and get powder all over our casual clothes, and then as we arrive it begins to rain cats and dogs. And by the time we got there we were a mess. Still a good bussiness would have kept there comments to themselves or at least been discrete about them. But as soon as we walk in the employees say to another one "what are we running a charity now?".... \r \r Since i grew up in a household where you always forgive we decided to stay anyway. After waiting an hour and 45 minutes, I asked the hostess when we were going to finally sit down. She gave us attitude and said "There are other patient costomers waiting patiently, you should try it." \r \r Fifteen minutes later we got our table and our waitor a middle aged bald man kept trying to get us to pay for expensive things and to shut him up my husband ordered what he referred. \r \r After an hour we were getting cranky and asked when our food was coming. The waitor then screamed at us for five minutes and then got the owner since we were so persistent. The owner did not seem to have a problem with this. \r \r Fifteen minutes later my husband got pissed off when our food came and his steak was cooked wrong. Then the employees were upset at us for wasting their time. So we got up and left. \r \r As we were leaving the waitress was acting like a ***** and i gave her the finger and we left. \r \r We ended up spending our anniversery at the closest McDonalds we could find... \r \r I dont remeber the slogan high prices for bad service. Never again. Not reccomended. more

We have been eating at Las Vacas Gordas for over 10 years, and there has never been a less-than-great experience. It does get crowded and the service sometimes may be a bit slow, but it is acceptable when a restaurant is as popular as this one. The food is and always has been top notch. We even go with our grade-school-aged kids and always have an excellent meal! more

Is not kid friendly,they have very bad service, overpriced,it's better if u get a steak from the market and do it yourself....its the 3rd time i come ...I'm so not coming back. more

Bad bad bad!! This place is not good at all. Meat is ok but you will regret going there, service is too bad and the owner is the worst part of it. Will never go back more

Went in a large group of 10 people. They were only able to seat us outside and we got rained on. They had us waiting outside in the rain for a table inside. There was no availability inside other than a table reserved for a $2000 minimum charge but there was no reservation on the table or anything. The owner did nothing to help other than scream at the women in our group that were trying to reason with him. The hospitality was extremely hostile. Never will I refer anyone there nor will I ever return more

Mi nombre es Kenia Sofia, NUNCA, NUNCA yo volvere a ese Restaurante por el horrible servicio que dan. El Domingo 30 de Octubre qu estaba lloviendo incontrolable fui con mi familia a cenar para celebrar el cumpleanos de mi Padre. Nunca en mi vida me habian tratado tan mal como ese dia. Eramos 6 adultos y tres ninos uno de los ninos era un recien nacido solamente 3 semanas. Mi Madre entro y pidio una mesa. primero le dijeron que era una espera de 1 Hr. despues le dijeron que unas de las mesa que esta desocupada para sentarnos ahi teniamos que comprar 2 botellas de vino y cada una era 250.00. Desidimos esperar la hora. despues dijo que teniamos que esperar afuera porque eran las reglas del restaurante. y arriba de eso el coche de la recien nacida no podia estar en el restaurante. Que tristesa que traten a un cliente tan mal. Voy a mandar un mensage por Facebook a todas mis amigos que nunca NUNCA vayan a ese lugar es muy mal servicio. I am a Miami Beach native and I have been going to Las Vacas Gorda since I was a little kid with my parents. I am now 30 years old and I AM NEVER GOING BACK! The food is good but the service is the epitomy of the word HORRIBLE. Ever since they expanded to what you see now the service has really taken a hit. The straw that broke the camels back for me was tonight. I waited for 30 minutes (no problem). They then sat us and gave us the menues. We then waited another 25 minutes without even a glass of water. Suddenly they sit a couple next to us and a waitress comes within 3 minutes and ask them if they were ready to order. I NEVER write reviews but the service there is bad enough to give you indigestion. If you want good food AND good service then this is not the place for you. more

People run, don't walk away from this place and it's "famous" bald waiter. It started bad, with baldy trying to get us to buy a $150 bottle of wine that was his "favorite" and got worse when he tried to get us to order the porterhouse and the Kobe beef, at Las Vacas Gordas???? Well the food never came insults were traded and we left.... more

Terrible service. They seem to think they are doing you a favor by going to their restaurant. Expensive for what it really is. more

The worst experience I have ever had in a restaurant. Service is terrible. My party and I were rushed to order and told to hurry since there was other people outside, waiters were upset since they had to refill our waters so much due to small glasses, New steak tasted like rubber but the churrasco was good but the chimi was way too spicy. They won't seat you until your full party arrives and were told that if they do we will be charged an entree for each person of the party which doesn't arrive. more

The pile of meaty goodness i was served was very tasty, certainly you want to be sharing this with someone despite what the waiter would like you to believe about it being 'not too much' the blood sausage was very very good, the wine was lovely \r \r its not so easy to find as it off the main strip a bit but well worth the walk. \r \r They have some super expensive cuts in here too, i would love to try and them and they made a good sale but my wallet wasnt stretching to that last time more

Meat meat and more meat all of which were excellent. Wine is very good. Price is adequate. Service, well it is European, so don't be in a hurry; relax and enjoy the steaks. BTW-cool take out bags. I would recommend it, especially if you are a carnivore! :) more

The worst service you can get in Miami. The food is not great, but is OK. The waiters attitude is extremely bad an the owner doesn't care. The gratuity is included in the bill. Be prepare for the arrogant attitud of waiters and awfull service. Don't even ask for water because you won't get it, unless you stand up and get the water yourself. You can get a better service in other stake houses in Miami. more

We made reservations for 7 and 5 of us where there, however they refused to sit us until everyone was there. So we had to wait around when our table stayed empty. After we sat down, we waited over one hour for the food to arrive. The meat was ok, however overpriced considering that nothing was included. The eggplant and grilled onion dishes were horrible. The last time we are going there or recommed it to anyone. more

Ate there 2years ago and had a great meal. Read the reviews recently and saw a lot of negative reviews. I decided to give it another shot because of my previous experience. It was better than the 1st time. The skirt steak was amazing, full of flavor and cooked exactly as I requested. The waiter with the shaved head was super nice. I will definitely go back next time I am in Miami. Not sure why there were all these negative reviews. Maybe some people are just too hard to please. more

I ate at Las Vacas Gordas tonight and am sorry to say, but it was the WORST dining experience of my life. Lets start from the beginning. Didnt offer me ice water, just charged me $6.00 for bottled water. Neglected to tell us the portion size of the food, so made sure the two of us ordered enough to feed 10 people. Then, waited 1.5 hours for food, and when it got there, it was mediocre. Then the jerk "manager/waiter" William (bald ex convict looking man) bowed up to me like he was going to fight me when we were discussing the unrealistic bill??? He had to walk away to take a "smoke break" so he says to calm down. What a joke. Worst waiter in history, should be banned from the restaurant industry, tried to FIGHT me. The owner will be getting a strong letter tomorrow and a phone call. All in all, if you want to wait 2 hours for some halfway decent double overpriced food served to you by some joke of a waiter who thinks hes tough because he shaves his head and has tribal tattoos, then this place is all for you. Otherwise, this restaurant gives Argentina a HORRIBLE NAME. Good luck, because with people working there that probably just got out of jail for murder, your going to need it. I will be sharing this with over 5,000 Miami residents through my blog sites, as never in my many years of life have I had an experience like I just had at that "caca" hole more
