Best

My husband and I love this place. My favorite dish is a vegetable penne pasta dish and it is amazing. Highly reccomend it! Pros: great service, authentic itialian food Cons...

Worst

Apparently Urso has no clue what envious means since he claims I'm envious of the new setup. In fact I'm far from it. And soon, Parma's will to especially since the past few time...

Clueless 3/20/2009

Apparently Urso has no clue what envious means since he claims I'm envious of the new setup. In fact I'm far from it. And soon, Parma's will to especially since the past few times the amount of customers is lacking to say the least...So get your facts and definitions straight! Pros: Most of the Wait Staff, the family atmosphere, friendliness Cons: Changing of the menu, new owners/management more

What happened? 3/3/2009

I have to agree with the others, since the new management took over, this establishment is horrible. The eggplant looked and tasked like cardboard. I might be wrong but shouldn't chicken cutlet parm usually have sauce on it? They should have drowned the chicken to hide the fact that they burnt it when they fried it. Pros: Service is quick Cons: If it's not in my pro's then it's a con. more

Disappointed 2/28/2009

I never had any problems when I would go to La Roma?s or Parma in the past, But recently since the new management has taken over I?ve had many problems. The food is not good. The sauce is very thick and has no taste. The pizza dough doesn?t taste nearly as good as it used to, and every time I?ve had a complaint there has never been anyone willing to speak to me. The new owner has never once come out to talk to me and when I tried calling there never seems to be anyone able to come to the phone. The previous owners were always very friendly and they would talk to you as if they had known you forever. The new owner is very unfriendly and I will never go back to this restaurant ever again nor will I ever call to place an order. Cons: poor food more

Best italian restaurant in Harrisburg , NC 2/23/2009

I have read the reviews posted in this site , and it is sad that people say things like that . But , in reality , i would like to make it clear for all the user of this site , that all the reviews posted prior to february /09 are critics to the bad management , service and sometimes quality of the food , that the former owners are to blame for, the atmosphere, service and specialy , the quality of the food , are exceptionaly good, not to say , that now , the customers can enjoy a meal , in all of it's stages, appetizers, entrees , desserts, in a orderly manner , as it's suppose to be, without having the food dumped , on the table , making it messy, and unconfortable to eat.not to say about the pre-bussing of the table , wich gives a customer more room , and cleansiness, wich , by the way , is proper service .And to mr. willsmith ,, was a very unfortunate comment , to say that the new owner isn't italian , , as if any italian restaurant in the United States of America has a kitchen staff , that are no other then americans, hispanics, or any nationality other then italian, , if u have ever been to italy , u should know that italian food is acordind to the region in italy that u go to , and the same dish will be different in each region, every food critic , knows or should know that the italian food here in this country is aimed for the american palet , therefore, italian-american food. It just makes me mad how ignorant people can be . well , don't blame the new owner for problems that he has already fixed, just go and try the food and better service, it seems to me that he has only eaten pizza and strombolis, and the only diference is that the new parma doesn't have the specialty pizzas wich u can build acordind to your preference using the toppings available on the new and i would say , better menu more

Please help your self to Carraba's 2/23/2009

I've been going to Parma since day one, and Laroma's before that. The quality of food has since gone down hill. I have been a loyal customer who would eat there, three to four nights a week. But never again will I step foot in Parma, I'd rather go three doors down to Bellacino's or just stay home and order Papa John's. Cons: Thumbs down more

Horrible New Owner 2/20/2009

we have been going to Parma / La Romas for about 6 years and the food was always great. The new owner who is not by any stretch of the imagination Italian can not cook Italian food. He has also taken many of my favorite items off the menu and raised the prices while managing to give small portions. I will not be spending my hard earned dollars at this establishment any more Pros: None Cons: None more

Good food, dissappointing service and management. 1/17/2009

We used to go to Parma about every two weeks as we thought the food was great. The last two times we have tried to go the Rest. we told "We CAN'T seat you, as we have a big party coming in/already here"......Wow I didn't realize you could shut down a Rest. 2-3 hours before you normally close. I understand big parties will spend some big money 1 time. But, when you shut out a regular customer who comes in every two weeks, it doesn't make me want to come back at all no matter how the good the food is. I will spend my money elsewhere from now on. Pros: Food Cons: Service, and Management more

Never eat here again! 11/19/2008

Sick on my stomach most of the next day after eating only a few bites of their olive oil saturated spaghetti which should have only been red sauce including olives & capers. Appears to be an elegant, expensive rest. based on the decor and menu, yet with paper napkins, plastic bread basket, plastic tea glass. Night buffet was terrible looking, with only 2 1 topping pizzas, a pasta, and brown lettuce on the messy salad bar. CiCi?s Pizza is fantastic compared to this offering. My family of 3 ordered $40 worth of entrees from the menu as we were surrounded by noisy kids and ruckus due to the restaurants desperate attempt with the buffet to get business. The house salad was help yourself to the terrible buffet bar. The fresh Italian bread was worse then store bought after setting on the counter for a few days; dry and crumbly. Worst of all was the huge amount of grease/olive oil on our spaghetti, Alfredo, and lasagna. I was furious. Spending $12.00 for nasty spaghetti, bread, and salad. We will never eat there again. Made me think of Gordon Ramsey?s Kitchen Nightmare show. I DON?T want to know what is really in the kitchen! These guys will be out of business soon unless they have deep pockets. They sure don't know how to cook! Cons: Terrible food more

Salmon was raw! 4/19/2008

Salmon was raw! Had to send back. Spinanch special did not come with Spinanch! When I asked the waiter if there was a new cook, he said the "Boss/Owner" was cooking. I don't recommend at all. We live in Harrisburg and want to like this place - but just can not. Pros: Beautiful place. Cons: Too pricey for plastic salad plates, supplies for wait staff setting out in open, food not quality. more

great pizza! 1/22/2008

Great authentic Italian food... their pizza is one of the best I have ever had. try the white pie. They also deliver. Used to be LaRomas more
