I will always take my pets to Parkway. 9/16/2015

Usually, I go to Parkway's sister location in Chesterfield because it's closer to home, however, I had to take a hedgehog in for an emergency, and because they usually have set days their hedgie expert is in Chesterfield, I had to go to parkway, which is where I took my other hedgie for a check-up. I called to let them know we were bringing this hedgie in for an emergency and they met us at the front desk and immediately took him back to examine and work on him. They were very thorough in their examination, and they were open and honest with us about the risks for the procedure our little guy had to go through. They were kind and comforting both during this visit, and when we had to take him back in. They are really invested in the well-being of people's pets and are willing to whatever they can to help. more

Excellent, very helpful 1/9/2015

I took my rabbit in yesterday and the doctor and technicians were very nice and compassionate about my sick bunny. I had very little money and couldn't pay for the expenses and they helped tremendously! Dana, Whitney and Dr. Knapp saved my bunny without hassle. Caring people, great service, overall best experience at an animal clinic I've had. Highly recommend Parkway and will be taking my animals there from now on! more

Happy Customer 4/19/2011

Had a great experience with this hospital. My cat was rescued from the streets of Mt Clemens with a bad break to his leg. They really went out of their way to help me with a plan to make him better. He's doing really well right now and has even learned to love having laser therapy to his bad leg! more

Great service and staff! 2/16/2011

This hospital is top notch for my cat. We've always taken our dogs here and been treated wonderfully. They always go the extra mile to make sure my pets are comfortable. My cat is a little picky about who she interacts with, and the techs here never have a problem with her. They're great! Thanks for being so close to my home as well...it helps! more

GREAT ANIMAL HOSPITAL!! 2/21/2010

Parkway Animal Hospital is the best! We used them for emergency services when our dog was hit by a car. They took great care of him, and even prescribed him anti-anxiety medication and pain medication for the days following his surgery. Parkway specializes in exotic animals that many other veterinarians will not treat, so they are an excellent place to bring any type of pet. The only thing to be weary of is that their prices are on the steep side. For routine vaccinations and sterilizations, I would recommend looking elsewhere. more

Bad for small dogs, vaccine treatment created bald spot & scar 12/15/2008

We brought our 2-3 pound yorki pup in for a shot. I questioned why such a small dog should get the full dose of the rabies vaccine.. The same dose a 100+ pound dog gets and they looked at me funny saying they do it all the time. Well after a few months there is now a large bald spot where the vaccine was injected and scar tissue. \r \r Hopefully this area remains cancer free. more

Parkway 8/30/2008

I always had a good relationship with this clinic. They moved locations, so I started to go somewhere else. But they treated my animals with respect and were very kind. They treated my kitten like she was a princess! When my older cat passed away, they sent me a card. I thought that was top-notch. more

  •  We grew from a 2000 sq. ft. practice to a 9000 sq ft practice encompassing 10 exam rooms, state-of-the-art facilities/diagnostics, and plenty of parking which was much needed from our previous site. Our name changed to include the addition of our large following of exotic animal patients. Our patient basis has grown to over 18,000 active clients with 50% being birds, reptiles, or small mammals. Our doctor staff has grown to include 5 full-time practitioners. Despite our larger size, we still strive to maintain the close and individual relationship we share with all of our clientelle and to keep ourselves and you on the cutting edge of veterinary medicine.
