Last existing bowling alley in El Cajon 2/23/2006

If you've lived in El Cajon for any amount of time you know this bowling alley has been in this location for years. As a child I went here and bowled and I had many school functions at this facility. Bowling alleys are few and far between these days but this one will be around for awhile. They're currently upgrading to have handicap access and the place seems to be popular on certain nights. The location is right off the 8 freeway and parking is plentiful. more

okay bowling 10/22/2005

I wasn't too impressed with the whole "night bowling" at this ally. They also seem to lack the availability of some sizes/weights of the bowling balls. At one point, all I could find were the super heavy balls when I need lighter ones since i'm not as hard core. But I was with a group of friends that made the night better. This is one of the cleaner alleys that I have bowled in however. Unsure what the beer prices were since I didn't need any more at that point. more

Decent bowling alley 8/20/2005

Parkway Bowl has been around since I can remember. While the do a good job keeping there lanes up to date and slick there isn't much to offer. Parkway offers the comic bowling, others call it galactic bowling. It's a fun time, strobe lights, black lights and florescence balls. Good music but a lot of kids. Right next door to boomers so if the kids aren’t having a good time you walk on over there. There are also a lounge serving up cold beer and beverages, some pool tables and a bunch of TV's broad casting what ever sporting event is on. more

Nice Family Outing 8/18/2005

Not too far from the freeway, serious and not so serious bowlers have easy access to a place where you can have a good time. From food to alcohol to arcade games, this place has something for everyone. Because of the fact that this place offers so many ways to have fun, I can honestly say that they are one of the few places to help create a distinction between bowling "center" and bowling "alley." more
