Parkside Recovery

I am a client at the clinic and I read the gentlemen comment about col ledge and apartment. Parkside did not help him with that I believe he got the methadone and was able to think clearly again and made some good decisions. For some people there is allot more than a couple of headaches there is discrimination going on by there staff. It is very out of control they do not look at there clients as humans. I have a secret friend whom works there and they in most of there counselors and security look upon them as animals. They use a client here and there to show the world their a good thing. Yes they are a good thing and allot of peoples lives are improved and some are destroyed, over all the clinics are a necessary evil. Yes I get my info from a well respected counselor. I whom has been there awhile. So there needs a great deal of change that is needed they need to hire some one whom knows there clients are people. And over all there are no better than a drug dealer standing on a street corner because they are doing the same job. more

As a patient, I can honestly say that without this clinic I may not have come as far as I did. In many ways it is like most clinics with pills falling out of some people's pockets like candy. There can be disagreeable moments with nursing, counselors, doctors, and security. But for the most part, I have gotten out of this what I put in. For me that is a couple of years of sobriety which has allowed college, an apartment, and a job. I think a few headaches have been worth it. more

My counselor refused to allow medication on an arbitrary basis. I have filed a case with the state of Pennsylvania. The counselors are incompetent, racist and biased. There is no accountability among the staff. I would give a zero star rating if I could. If you are serious about recovery, there are better methadone clinics than Parkside. more
