The Park West is Chicago's best concert venue, by far, but it just doesn't have the bands it had in the ""old days,"" and that's a shame. In the 1980's, PW was the place to be, with the likes of U2 on their first US tour, Heads on their second tour, and all the British pub rockers and punk bands.
New booking agency might help. Who exactly books PW now? Jam?
Pros: Great sound, great sightlines, nice room
Cons: needs better acts
