After 18 Years I Wouldn't Change A Thing 4/2/2011

In the last 18 years, my dental insurance has changed many times, and I have moved to another borough, but my dentist has remained the same since.\r \r Shortly after I started visting Park Slope Dentistry, I saw a 20/20 special on unsanitary conditions by dental offices and how diseases can be passed on through these unclean practices. I was shocked how unsanitary many dentists can be. Needless to say, I was relieved to know that the signs of unsanitary practices were not the case at Park Slope Dentistry. At each visit, you can see them unwrap a new set of tools for each patient.\r \r Aside from excellent sanitary practices, the staff is friendly, professional and everyone is patient with answering all questions about procedures, insurance, etc. Park Slope Dentistry also has kept current with the latest dental technology, bringing greatrt ease of service. Additionally the dentists remembers all their many patients, which I find to be a nice personal touch.\r \r I highly recommend Park Slope Dentistry if you live in Brooklyn or even in the NYC area. more

Dr. Teichman is a GREAT dentist 2/25/2011

Dr. Teichman is a GREAT dentist. He managed to make someone like me who is afraid of the dentist relaxed and comfortable. I needed a root canal and he was very patient with me and my nervousness and my dozens of questions on exactly what I would feel. He took the time to explain exactly how the procedure would work and what to expect so that I was as comfortable as possible. I was really happy with the results. The rest of the staff in his office is also really nice. His office manager went above and beyond in helping me to resolve my insurance issues. I would definitely recommend Dr. Teichman! more

I have never complimented a dentist. I'm a changed man. 2/25/2011

Unlike most people, I dislike having metal rods and foreign instruments jammed into my mouth. I know, call me crazy. However, after moving often all of my adult life and seeing 7 dentists in that time, I can say with certainty that Park Slope Dentistry is the bestest. You say bestest isn't a word? That's because your dentist pales by comparison. Dr. Teichman is the senior dentist there - super straightforward and knowledgeable. Dr. Plotnick is a true professional - nothing short of gentle, informed, and witty. This is customer service at its highest level. more

Warm and professional 2/20/2011

I haven't had a positive experience at a dentist in a long time, but I'm so glad I switched to Park Slope Dentistry. The location is conveniently located near the F train and the office is modern and immaculate. Dr. Plotnick was thorough, professional, and candid about my options. It's not cheap but you get top-notch treatment for your money. This place will change the way you feel about going to the dentist. more

I've been here and they do charge a lot 2/18/2011

The ""value"" of this place really is 0. They steal insurance companies money. If your insurance rejects it after the work is done (maybe because they think x rays shouldn't cost over $200), you get stuck with a bill 5X higher than any other dentist. I got stuck with an unexpected bill. They have a Habit of letting people know late, VERY late; like after the work is done. more

Everything about this experience was great - the ladies at the front desk were friendly, and then Anya (who took my x-rays) and Mae (who did my cleaning) both explained everything in detail before they did it. After the cleaning Dr. Jennifer Plotnick came in to examine my teeth. She was quick but thorough, gave me some tips, and made conversation about my profession and hers. I briefly met Dr. Teichman, who seemed nothing but charming. It's always such a great thing to find a dentist you really like, and I'm sad I only found Park Slope Dentistry right before I move away. I would, without question, go back. more

Recently had a wonderful experience from check-in to check-out at Park Slope Dentistry.\r \r Super friendly staff put me at ease and made me feel very welcome.\r \r Appointment started right on time.\r \r Thorough cleaning by a hygienist who clearly took pride in her work and was kind and generous with advice and sample products.\r \r Dr. Jen Plotnick was extremely personable and professional - took extra time to carefully explain the results of my exam and was very encouraging.\r \r Also met Dr. Teichman who was very welcoming and clearly proud of his team and practice.\r \r All in all, a flawless experience. Scam artists. Stay away. 1/25/2011

I went to Park Slope Dentistry through a discount program. They did a cleaning and exam and told me I had three cavities and needed over $2500 worth of work done. When I asked for a complete work order and copy of my xrays to consult with my godfather, who is a dentist, the dentist blurted, ""oh, the cavities don't show up on your xrays, but they're there."" I went to another dentist who found no cavities. Not one. I guess the only way they make money when they use a discount program to bring in clients is to invent fake problems and charge you a boatload to fix them. Their license should be revoked. more

Can't ask for anything more 1/24/2011

I've been to the office twice for a cleaning/check up and for whitening and have been very happy with my experiences at the office. All the staff are very friendly, regardless of who was seeing me for my visit. The atmosphere is warm and relaxed and its easy to tell that the office staff is a strong team that cares about their patients. The hygienist who saw me (Denise ?) was great. She was very efficient in doing the cleaning and explained very well all elements of the cleaning and whitening. I could tell that she had a very good rapport with the Dr. as well, which made my checkup that much more effective. I don't have major issues with my teeth yet Dr. Plotnick gave me a thorough check up and good advice on how to keep it that way. I didn't see Dr. Teichman but chatted with him on my way out... he was interested in how my visit went and I got the impression that whoever I saw at the office, I'd be well taken care of. So, all in all, a very satisfying dental experience. I'd write something about the waiting room or magazines but I've never spent more than a few moments there. Its always straight to the chair. more

Dr. Teichman is outstanding 1/13/2011

I am 25 and have been seeing Dr. Teichman since I was about 10 years old. Dr. Teichman is such a fabulous dentist that I still see him every time I return to New York, even though I've moved to California! He knows his patients very well, and works with you to make you comfortable and to make you feel in control. I am terrified of dental procedures, but Dr. Teichman puts me at ease. He has even filled my cavities without requiring novocaine! He makes certain that you are 100% satisfied with your care, and will adjust or redo any part of your care until you are thrilled. They also have the best technology to make sure your care is state-of-the-art, including completely electronic medical records, the newest xray and imaging equipment, and even tempurpedic dentist chairs. You can't go wrong with Drs. Teichman and Plotnick! more

Amazing Neighborhood Dentist! 1/6/2011

This was my first choice of Dental office after moving to Brooklyn. I can't say enough good things about the team at this office. They are so friendly and professional and take time with their clients to make sure they are getting the best treatment possible. Dr. Jen Plotnick made what could have been a hellish procedure a breeze. She went over all possible options with me and I left feeling like I really understood my treatment and got quality work done. I recommend this office to anyone. They are awesome! more

Dr. Teichman gave me a beautiful smile 10/15/2010

I was always self conscious about my teeth but was too afraid to go to the dentist to take care of them. I went to Dr. Teichman based on a friend's recommendation and I am so happy I did! Dr. Teichman understood my nervousness and was very patient. He recommended a few different treatment options based on what I was looking for and after a few crowns, laminates and gum treatment, I am very happy with what my smile looks like. It looks great and so much better than I could have ever expected. I wish I had done this years ago! \r \r \r Dr. Teichman is a great dentist and I highly recommend him. He is a great dentist, is very patient (especially with nervous patients like me) and gave me a gorgeous smile that I can finally be proud of! Thank you!!! more

Excellent clean top of the line dentist 10/12/2010

i never write reviews but i had such a great experience at this office that i had to spread the word on how great, informative and clean the workers and establishment is.I had a thorough cleaning the best i ever had and great xrays and teeth check up. the techs there verry pleasent and informative with the latest technology i will definetly be back in 6 months and recommend it to others out there plus there was no long wait in nyc you cant beat the service at this dentist office! more

Good Clean Office 9/30/2010

I went today, the office was big, clean, and had this x-ray machine I've never used at a dental office. I've taken x-rays at other offices taking 15 minutes and being very annoying especially when you're uncomfortable biting into this hard plastic thing. X-rays here took less than 5 minutes (stood up while the machine went around my head to take it). They did a thorough job cleaning (I don't know why I have so much plaque; even though I floss!). They were very good with explaining everything. Everyone was very friendly and professional. UPDATE: I CAME BACK FOR CLEANING AND THE BILL CAME OUT TO $400!!! WHAT CAN I DO?? I PAID BECAUSE I WAS SCARED THEY WOULD CALL THE COPS more

Only the best work 9/13/2010

Dr Teichman is a perfectionist. His work is very professional and he explains everything including length of work and charges. Rarely do I find my appointments being pushed back and his work is top notch. I am big on going to the dentist and have been to many due to convenience of location. Several years ago I realized the convenience factor wasn't working and I would get myself to Dr Teichman's office. After several rounds of dentists, none could compare to his work. more

I have been a loyal patient to Park Slope Dentistry since they came to the Slope. They provide top notch professional and personable service. Simply put, they make going to the dentist not such an unpleasant experience. Going to the dentist is never a good time, but Park Slope Dentistry's friendly atmosphere, knowledgeable staff, and state of the art equipment, make for an alright visit to the dentist's office. YES, PREMIUM COST WITH MINIMUM SERVICE.\r \r This is a no-brainer: NO to all of the above, and lowest rating to all of the above... Great Dentist in Park Slope! 5/19/2010

Dr. Teichman is the best!\r \r I recently had a very bad experience with another dentist. I had had some work done earlier in the week and was still experiencing alot of pain days later. I was already not very happy with my treatment so this did not help matters. \r \r I found Dr. Teichman online and saw all of his great reviews and gave his office a call. His office manager was able to squeeze me in the same day as an emergency visit even though I was a first time patient. Dr. Teichman was great. He quickly identified the problem and was able to get rid of my pain. \r \r I was so happy with Dr. Teichman and my treatment that I will be switching to Dr. Teichman as my dentist. He is very experienced, his staff is very friendly, and I am confident that I will be in good hands with him. I highly recommend Dr. Teichman! My favorite dentist 1/6/2010

Growing up, I had several bad experiences with different dentists, which led me to doing everything in my power to avoid my yearly check-ups …That all changed when I visited Dr. Ron Teichman’s clinic in Park slope a few years ago. I’ve since moved to another borough, and still commute happily to Park Slope Dentistry. I love that I can book my appointment online, and that if I leave a message on their answering machine they call me back right away. Once there- The clinic is super clean and equipped with top of the line modern dental technology. The entire staff is always kind and helpful and I’ve never had to wait for my appointment- amazing!! Dr. Teichman is one of the most personable and caring doctors I’ve ever met. He always explains everything, shows me what needs to be done on a monitor and goes over all the options with me prior to the treatment… On my last visit I told Dr. Teichman that my brother, who recently moved to Seattle, was experiencing a bad toothache. Dr. Teichman not only recommended a few doctors in the Seattle area, but also offered his time to speak with my brother over the phone. I am so appreciative for his wonderful work and for making all those visits so positive! more
