Excellent Dental Facility 2/25/2012

I've been coming to this office for probably ten years. I left briefly because of a change in my insurance and I came running back full of regret as soon as I could! Dr. Teichman is a veteran - I always feel in great hands with him. Recently I have come in on a day when one of his newer associates, Dr. Plotnick, did a root canal for me, and she was awesome as well. They have the best of the experience plus new ideas going for them in this office, are always willing to work with me to make sure I can get the work done, and the staff really has their system down. I am so pleased that I can have such great medical practitioners right her in the Slope. And as a bonus, Denise, who is the hygenist who does my cleanings, -- well, after my first visit with her I remember saying ""WOW, I've never had a cleaning like that before! Just amazing!"" more

Fantastic Dentist and Staff 2/9/2012

Having not gone to the dentist for 20 YEARS due to bad experiences as a child, I finally made an appointment to see Dr. Ho and the team. From the moment I walked in the door, I was made to feel extremely comfortable, all of my questions were answered and the service was on time and impecible. The rooms are modern and have what seem to be the latest equipment. I have since been back to get cavities filled and can't say enough about the staff and the level of service. I can't imagine going anywhere else for dental care. -Michael more

As pleasant as it can get for a dental appointment 2/7/2012

I was very very fortunate to come across this practice when I needed to find a dentist in Park Slope. After neglecting dental check-ups for many years, I had some serious work done - of a great quality, and with minimum pain. Dr Teichman is a 100% perfectionist, and in addition he, as well as all his staff are superfriendly. p.s. I had to bring my then 9-month-old baby along for one of my appointments. As it turned out, Dr Teichman is great with kids. I won't be surprised if my son once tells me that he loves visiting the dentist. more

Great dentists! 2/3/2012

I've been going to Dr. Teichmann for more than 17 years. He and Dr. Ho are the consummate professionals and I use them interchangeably, depending on who's available. May is an excellent, no pain dental tech -- her cleanings are great. The staff is very helpful with filing insurance claims. I definitely recomment Park Slope Dentistry!\r \r more

Excellent dentist 1/30/2012

I first went to Dr. Teichman’s office in the late 1990s when I lived in Park Slope. Although I moved to a different neighborhood a couple of years later, I have been “commuting” to Dr. Teichman ever since and never considered finding a dentist closer to my home. I had much dental work done over the years, always to my great satisfaction. Dr. Teichman is an excellent professional who always patiently explains the nature of my dental problems and outlines possible solutions. The office is well staffed, friendly and equipped with the latest technology. The wait is never long. Denise, Dr. Teichman’s hygienist, is also wonderful. She is friendly, professional and efficient. I have no hesitation recommending Dr. Teichman’s office and I referred friends to him over the years. more

excellent dental experience 1/26/2012

I highly recommend Dr. Teichman and his dental office. I have been a patient there for about 20 years. When I started there I had no children and now I bring my teen age daughter there. Dr. Teichman and his entire staff are extremely professional and at the same time friendly and welcoming. They are gentle and take the time to do things right. I trust their advice and never feel pushed to do any unnecessary work. They explain what needs to be done and why. I always feel comfortable that any questions and concerns I have are important to them. Denise, the hygienist who has cleaned my teeth for year and year is wonderful. more

Clean teeth, full hearts, can't lose! 1/11/2012

I've been to many dentists/periodontists/orthodontists (haven't had the best luck with my teeth over the years) and Dr. Teichman's office has the friendliest most professional staff I've encountered. I recently had an implant procedure and they did an excellent job with the crown which had to fit a newer Nobel active implant. Dr. Teichman consulted with Nobel and they even sent a representative to be present for the procedure. After it was over they ordered delicious pizza and shared some with me to give the tooth a test drive. Best pizza party ever. I trust the staff here completely and if you're in the New York area it's worth a trip to Park Slope. more

My saviours were right around the corner! 1/5/2012

After many decades of loyalty to dentists, but still hiding my teeth (no smiles), little did I realize that the answer was right in Park Slope. A resident of this neighborhood for for over forty years my daughter came to me and said ""I think I found the right dentist for you""! I walked in to Dr. Teichman's office and knew I was in the right place. His office is modern and he and his associates are ahead of the curve on modern dentistry. For the first time in decades I can smile and proudly show my teeth. By the way it does not hurt that all in his office are happy to see you and make you feel welcome. Best Dental Experience Ever 11/1/2011

In the past one week I have been to Dr. Teichman's office twice. Once for a cleaning and two days after that for a cavity filling. I have to say that both times was completely painless. This is a huge concern for me because the last time I had gone to a dentist was almost a decade ago. I was never able to go back because I had an awful experience getting my cavity fillings. I felt everything and more of everything. I knew that I would not ever go back to a dentist. That changed when I met Dr. Jennifer Plotnick at Dr. Teichman's office. I went in because my wisdom tooth was casuing me extreme pain. She made me feel so comfortable and promised me that the procedure (cavity filling) would not hurt. She was great, I really felt no pain. During my procedure, she even sang to me. I actually felt calm. It was a great experience.\r \r For all of you who are nervous to go see the dentist, Dr. Jennifer Plotnick is the one. more

Nicest and Best Dentist you can find. 11/1/2011

I've been seeing Dr. Teichman since I was a kid. I am generally petrified of the dentist (I always have cavities) but Dr. Teichman and his staff always put me at ease, remember me and are generally very helpful and eager to answer my questions. I absolutely refuse to go anywhere else. Dr. Teichman is the best in the biz. more

Such a positive Dental Experience! 9/29/2011

It was time for a dental visit, and I knew it because I felt a pain in my tooth. I had come across a Groupon for an exam, cleaning, and x-rays. I was a little skeptical, but took a chance from reading several great reviews. It turned out that I had two cavities and needed a root canal. I have really good hygiene and the whole idea of a root canal really scared me, especially with a new dentist. Luckily all the employees at Park Slope Dentistry put me at ease and were super friendly and helpful. I entered the office each time with such comfort and left remarkably without pain. No joke, Dr. Plotnick was awesome. Don't let how cool and easy to talk to she is fool you. She was thorough, explained everything in the procedure, and hummed the latest indie music. She honestly made going to the dentist a painless experience, and my crown looks great! The facilities are clean, and the procedures were super fast. I would definitely recommend my friends to her. The office is easily located a few blocks from the f/g train in Park Slope. The neighborhood is lovely, and the best part is you can treat yourself to Cafe grumpy one block away right after! more

Fantastic Dental Facility! 9/21/2011

I have been here several times and the staff have always been friendly, timely and super-accommodating. I recently had a cracked tooth that led to a broken one and was in need of a root canal. I was extremely anxious so Dr. Jennifer Plotnick explained the procedure, said she would provide me with some nitrous oxide to ease my nerves and that I'd be just fine. I wanted to trust her - yet, in my mind, putting the words 'fine' and 'root canal' in the same sentence was simply crazy talk! Yet, as she started the process, I quickly realized she was right. The nitrous oxide immediately calmed me and I appreciated how she checked in with me throughout the process. She even sang to me (a free service she provides to certain lucky patients :) Correct lyrics are not guaranteed and for me, a Human League song will never be the same! Yes, I laughed during a root canal on a molar containing three nerves!! To top it off, she called me in the evening to see how I was feeling! Now, if that isn't customer service, I don't know what is! If you are in need of a professional, kind, witty dentist who honestly cares about her patients, look no further. How many people can say they like their dentist? I'm pleased to say I can! Thanks so much, Dr. Plotnick! :) more

Best Dental office ever. 6/26/2011

I bought a Groupon for a check up and cleaning last year and frankly, I was suspicious. It seemed kind of weird to have a coupon for the dentist but for some reason I took a chance. I was delighted. A clean, extremely friendly office, the latest technology and perks for patients. I had a really nice dentist in my old neighborhood but his staff was cranky. Every single person in this office is very pleasant, and competent. more

The Best 6/20/2011

If you are reading these reviews you know that it's all good. What can I possibly add to the great reviews written on Dr. Teichman and his great staff. Dr. Teichman is the best and his staff is equally as wonderful. Dr. Teichman did my first crowns in the 80's when I lived in Brooklyn. I was very happy with the work performed and the result. Soon after I moved to Suffolk County on Long and worked with other Dentists. I had the crowns replaced 10 years ago, by a good Dentist in a successful practice but I was never happy with the result. I hated my crowns and my smile and it undermined my confidence. After much thought, trepidation and more then 20 years I returned to Dr. Teichman. Dr, Teichman welcomed me with open arms but frankly told me that what I wanted was strictly cosmetic and until the old crowns were removed he would not know what condition the teeth were in. He thoroughly explained the good, the bad and the ugly to me. He told me to serioulsy consider starting this work. IT ALL WORKED OUT JUST FINE. IT WAS QUICK, PAINLESS AND I ONCE AGAIN LOVE MY SMILE AND I LOVE PARK SLOPE DENTISTRY! And I must add that I suffer from anxiety and that was a major concern from me. I had to make concessions if I was going to commit to this, so I didn't drive the 120 mile roundtrip. I got a few good books and took the LIRR to Dr. T and I was just fine. more

Excellent Dentists and Hygienists 6/11/2011

Dr. Teichman and Dr. Ho have been caring for our family for about five years now. We've had nothing but positive experiences and the highest quality dental care. I visited a few dentists in the area before finding Park Slope Dentistry and had some...very interesting experiences. I'm glad I kept searching. I have been a lifelong patient of Dr. Teichman. They are top notch all the way, and are consumate professionals. Every member of the staff is wonderful and professional as well. I have nothing but glowing praise for them. Recently, they took me in an emergency and saw to it I got the exact help I needed to be comfortable (turned out it was a wisdom tooth extraction). If you are debating on a dentist - debate no longer, this is the best place you can go. more

Talk about gentle dental, this place is amazing. 5/10/2011

After thinking it was about time for a cleaning, I found this place online and made an appointment.\r Dr. Jennifer Plotnick and the rest of the staff are frankly, the bomb. The cleaning was a breeze, and when I had to return for additional work, I was in great hands with Dr. Plotnick...she was able to do the whole thing without needles or pain at all (to my relief, I hate needles). Score. I even got to listen to 80's/90's hits during the process. Ace of Base anyone? She immediately made me feel comfortable with her witty charm and talked me through everything she did.\r Plotnick and the entire office staff are adorable. From start to finish my experience was an extremely positive one, this is coming from a person who is normally afraid of going to the doctor. Dentist found.\r more

Superlative Dentistry from a Doctor Who Cares 5/8/2011

Dr. Teichman actually makes going to the dentist pleasant experience. My family and I have been patients for several years now, and his care--as well as that of the others in his practice--has always been outstanding. In addition, he's always treated my daughter, who is extremely fearful, with tenderness (and nitrous oxide!), which has made things much easier for her. I used to think that I had to trek into Manhattan to see a good dentist. But Dr. Teichman has changed my mind forever. We're lucky to have him in the neighborhood! more

Smiling Again in Brooklyn! :) 4/25/2011

I 'm so happy I found Dr. Teichman. I'd always been very embarrassed about my teeth to the point that I would usually cover my mouth when I smiled. I decided to fix my teeth once and for all and made an appointment with Dr. Teichman. I am so glad that I did! He recommended laminates to correct my issues and I now LOVE how I look. I was a bit nervous about having my teeth done at first but Dr. Teichman gave me nitrous oxide and that really helped. Now I can't stop looking at myself in the mirror! I never imagined I would have a smile I would be proud of. Thank you Dr. Teichman for making me smile again. more
