The owner of a pet has a deep connection to their pet and strong feelings towards them. That's why the doctors and staff at PHAH are my first choice for pet care. They share that love of my pets as though they belong to them. They are the definition of compassion. more

This is the most fabulous practice!! Dr. Collett is an amazing doctor and spent long hours nursing my dog back to health when it was on deaths door. They are worth every penny!! more

Great place!! 3/18/2011

I recently went to another N Ky vet clinic that was very busy with low prices. You get what you pay for! The exam my dog recieved was NOT an exam. How can you tell what is going on with my dog just by looking at her?? I was not happy, so I made an appointment with Dr Collett. The exam was an actual exam. I did not wait around forever to be seen and was not rushed in and out. I am thrilled to find vets that eally care about what they do. I just wish I would have gone tho Park Hills first before wasting my money at the other vet's office. Get what you pay for! more

THIS PLACE IS FANTASTIC!!! 3/16/2011

Park Hills Animal Hospital is fantastic. I have been to 5 area veterinarians in the past year and a half - none of which come close to Park Hills. I feel that my pets deserve the best care possible and this is the place. Dr. Collett is wonderful. He is thorough, personable, and takes time with me and my pets on every visit. He always has time to listen. Anyone can find a vet.... but finding a vet that meets all of my standards is difficult. I have looked at some of the cases Park Hills has handled on their Facebook Page. I would encourage you to be a friend and take a look. They really do care and it shows when you see the homes you find for pets, the way they go out of their way to save a stray dog hit by a car Amazing stories. Amazing people. You will not be disappointed. more

Money well spent! 2/22/2011

Park Hills Animal Hospital is the best kept secret in N Ky. This is the most caring clinic I have seen in a very long time. The wait time is very minimal. Most of the time you are greeted by Dr Collett. He spends time with your pet doing a very thorough exam. The prices are comparable. You get what you pay for, and with this hospital, the time is well spent. No wait time for your appointment, or wait an hour or more for a quick exam. more

Upsetting financial nightmare! 11/30/2010

While the staff was caring towards my pet, their primary concern was getting paid in full! I have been a long time patient at PHAA and was basically refused service for my dog that was on his death bed. The charges are above and beyond reasonable or even comparable to any other place. I was told that I had to pay for services before he could be cared for or to go some place else, which I did. I paid not even half of the amount at Noahs Ark and the price included an overnight stay. I can't begin to explain how upsetting it was to have to take a dieing pet and drive to another hospital. I was not a new patient and have spent ALOT of money on other surgeries for another pet. Most people are not prepared for a sudden pet emergency costing so much. I will never return and will tell every animal lover that I know, unless you have abundant cash just waiting to be spent, drive a little further and save your money. Not to mention, my last experience where I was charged an INSANE amount of mone more

PET OWNER BEWARE... 4/20/2010

If you hit the Powerball this is the place for you, they will clean you out of all your money !!! Most of the treatments they recommend are over the top... They try to justify what they do by making you feel guilty if you dont do it. And the Staff is Rude. more

dog can not walk 4/28/2009

I took my dog to this animal hospital for years. The last time I took my dog there, a very bad thing happen. My dog came in walking very well. Dr Bowen was to get a urine sample by cysto. They took my dog into the back away for me. The next thing I knew my dog was screaming at the top of her lungs. They came out and told me MY DOG CAN NOT WALK. They sent me to a specialist who said my dog ruptured a dic in the back. Now my little dog can walk some but will NEVER be the same again. more

Sometimes you get what you pay for! 3/31/2009

I've had 3 dogs, in which Dr Collett has been their Vet. He has never given a recommendation of any service that was not in need. They offer the pricing UP FRONT, so you know what it is PRIOR to making the decision. My most recent dog had a serious neurological issue-he was given steroids to reduce swelling, to be able to complete Xrays. When we arrived for the Xrays, Dr Collett knew it would be a waste of our money,a s my dog needed a much more aggressive diagnosis-he called ahead to the Urgent Care Center and we were on our way. Unfortunately, I lost my beloved pet, however, I re'cd numerous calls from both Vet & staff during the entire process, along with their utmost sympathy and a card from both places. I'd give them my highest praise, my pets are worth getting the best treatment and yes, sometimes, that does cost a little more!! more

Great Vet 7/16/2007

When I arrived at Park Hills Animal Hos. I was in desperate need of a vet to care for my very sick cat. I found the staff and vet to be exceptionally caring and concerned with his well being. They did several tests to rule out serious problems, which were expensive, but I think they would cost that much anywhere else. To my surprise, the vet even called me at home the next day to check on his progress. \r \r After this emergency visit, I took both my cats in for vaccinations. The vet and staff were both very personable and inquired about the health of the previously sick cat. I was continued to be impressed with the vet who appeared to really love animals and their well being. Some vets I have been to have seemed to be to just be doing their job, but she was very caring. The cost for both exams and shots was about $150. So, again around what I've paid elsewhere.\r \r Overall, I was very impressed with the level of care and compassion for my cats on my two visits. I would recommend this vet more

Yes they're expensive - but worth it! 7/16/2007

If you are a human that considers your animals to be truly part of the family then this is the best Vet for you. We moved from out of state and struggled to find a good vet. After being scorned badly by a Erlanger Vet who wanted to empty out our bank account running a million tests on our young, perfectly healthy dog - Park Hills was a welcome site. The Vets there are extremely caring and will not suggest an expensive procedure or test unless it is needed. They will always give you the option of whether you want to proceed or not. In addition they are great about staying in touch and following up on dog visits. In addition they are patient and and answer ALL of your questions. We recently lost our older dog to a horrible anemic condition. HOWEVER, had it not been for the foresight of one of Park Hill's vets to have a few more tests run we would not have had the time we did have with her. The fact that the vet spotted something that most vets would ignore provided us with close to 3 mor more

If you are a BILLIONARE this is the vet for you! 11/29/2005

We took a cat we rescued here to be treated for ringworm. Our bill was $200 and that wasnt even for the treatment! We went to the Fort Thomas aniamal hospital and they treated out cat for $39!!!! I couldnt belive it. The Park Hills Animal Hospital is filthy they offer no kind of special services and the receptionist and doctors arent very friendly at all. They dont carry my cats food or the special treats the aniamsl love like other vets do. I would recommend this vet to no one. For top quality care go to the FT Thomas clinic! more
