Actually what Ashley say is what you're told when you buy a dog there. It's a total lie. The owner's daughter spent a good half hour going on about how our golden retriever was from an elite breeder who had to tour their facilities before selling puppies from her careful breeding program. Total bs. First, none of their puppies are akc registered. They have the other registration where, if you pay enough, you can register a cat as a great dane. Second, and most important, we looked up the breeder on her registration and had a zillion hits on google about the biggest, worst puppy mill in the south. I blame myself, I wasn't falling for the bs that was being told to me when we bought her but my daughter was falling in love with her so I guess I wanted to believe. Right now our golden is 7 months old, she is so well tempered, sweet and loving that she's become a huge part of the family. I would be beyond heartbroken if she got sick and we lost her. So think twice before you buy here, best to just avoid the place altogether. If you do go notice that all their breeders are from the south and do a quick search on their name. more

In response to Cathix4 I would like to testify everything this user says. I purchased a Havanese puppy from here 3 years ago. He is perfectly healthy and the staff was very helpful in picking out the right dog. Not only do they guarantee the dogs health when leaving the pet store, but they provide all paperwork from certified breeders ALONG with all their past breeding to ensure that there is no cross-breeding. Park Ave pets only has connections with very limited and well trusted breeders, assuring none come from puppy mills. What your dog has is not the result of buying from this store, but from natural health causes from the breed itself, or something it's developed overtime. But all puppies from this store are well cared for and checked over before sold to the public. But I appreciate your concern for future buyers. (: I highly recommend Park Ave Pets! more

I purchased a Shih Tzu from here & he will be 2 yrs old in Oct. he suffers with seizures that have also caused a hert murmur. Thier pups come from brokers not breeders and they are bred carelessly & w/o concern for the well bing & health of pups. Think twice before purchasing from herew or anywhere that cannot produce breeder. :( more
