My neighborhood bakery 12/9/2010

I live just two blocks from this classic bakery. It's like the kind you see on television with classic signage, small in size big in smell. The desserts are just right, and even better in price. It's been a long time since I was able to purchase a dessert for such a reasonable price. It's rare to find good neighborhood friendly service in our city, the owner has the warmest smile from his heart when he greets you. Thank you Parisi!! more

Hot Coffee, Warm Smiles, Great Bread! 12/5/2010

Nothing starts my day like stopping by Parisi Bakery right by the train stop at 31st and Broadway. The smell of fresh baked bread, the friendliest smiles and a great cup of coffee greet me each morning. I've gone to Parisi for years now and find it's the best whether I'm looking for a fresh loaf of bread to go with dinner, delicious baked goods for a special event, or a quick cup of Lavazza on the go. A true gem in the neighborhood. more

Great Coffee--Family Owned 11/29/2010

Parisi, located on 31st and Broadway is fabulous!!! We have purchased cookies for parties/events over the years and they are always fresh and yummy. The coffee is from Italy and delicious! Where else can you get Italian brew for about $1?!?! My favorite is the lemon and cannoli cookie. So good..... They are family owned and family oriented. We met the owner recently, who explained they keep their prices low and fair. They love the neighborhood and their customers are loyal. This is the part of Astoria that I love!!! Well...all of that and a delicious warm bread out of the oven.... more

NOT JUST BREAD!!!!!LOAF BREAD AS GOOD AS 10/4/2004

LOAF BREAD AS GOOD AS IT GETS.........But look deeper into the shelfs,cookies(Wineturtle positivly BARKS when they have the BIIG soft crumb Choc. Chip cookie Soda bread Hot cross buns(should carry these all year) They bake a rack of pies daily but the early turtle gets the apple so go early. Wineturtle always buy a Hero loaf for the walk home otherwise the eating while walking gene kicks in and Miss Subways says ""Wheres the bread??????
