I love Paris Parker Pyrtania. I do have some complaints; my stylist has been out for an extended period of time on two separate occasions - could I pleeeeease get a phone call prior to the leave - just in case I can be squeezed before she leaves and before my hair starts looking like I don't even know what a salon is! So, here I am with a new stylist looking forward to my complimentary head massage and praying he doesn't mess my hair up. We go straight to the sink for my hair wash. No head massage today! And to say the least, I was immediately greeted and asked if I needed anything to drink. Now, I hate to accept the offer, but I went in hot and thirsty and dreadfully said I would take water - no one brought it to me... So, I'm with a new stylist, hot, thirsty, and I have a headache... at least I got a great cut. more

She is an absolutely amazing colorist and an asset to Aveda. I receive compliments from do many people on my hair color and highlights. The professionalism and cleanliness of the salon is unbeatable as well. Great overall experience! more

Great haircut, didn't like my stylist 8/17/2011

I went in to get a major haircut- past my shoulders one length to a bob, and I do love my new cut. However, when I first met my stylist the first thing he did was question me about whether or not I knew him in a way that wasn't friendly and implied that I was not being truthful. I just moved to New Orleans from out of state, so sorry, friend. Then, in my consultation I told the stylist what I wanted (a bob, shorter in back, longer in front), and he sharply questioned my "commitment" to having that hairstyle. Am I SURE I want that? It takes work. What do you care? Just cut my hair. He was cold and pretty unfriendly for most of the cut, with a judgy tone of voice and not very conversational, and towards the end of my cut he said he was miffed at his unborn child for already dictating his life plans. I'm a mom of a one-year-old, so I felt no sympathy for his plight, but I do feel sympathy for his pregnant wife. All in all, I will be going back to Paris Parker, just not the same stylist. more

another great color and cut 8/15/2011

After consulting with both Nikki and Chris, we decided to change my look a bit. Both high and low lights were added to the same basic color and Chris tightened up the back of my cut and brought the length up about an inch. I was very pleased with how the result looks.My color just pops and the cut is so versatile and easy to maintain. more

Paris Parker Prytania 8/13/2011

I can't say enough about how fabulous this salon is. I drive over an hour to get my hair done and it is worth it! Tiffany Gilmore is so extremely talented and a true professional. I feel so relaxed and comfortable when I am in her chair. Her work is immeasureable! Courtney is an excellent professional as well. She is soooo extremely talented and has the wisdom and expertise of a professional in the business for 30 years, yet she's been doing this for a short time. I would highly recommend this salon to anyone. I went from a brunette to a blonde and had a dramatic hair change that they both helped me to acheive. True artists! more

Overpriced 8/10/2011

I went to get my haircut and they were going to charge me $60 dollars for a men's haircut. That is ridiculous for a men's haircut. Different stylists shouldn't have different prices and men's haircuts should not be over $30. I find it absurd how depending on which location or who you get to cut your hair the price changes. more

Courtney has a magic touch, the girl really knows what she's doing! My hair is long and crazy and curly, and she gives me the best haircuts I've ever had! (And I've had some bad ones in the past, believe you me!) Courtney makes me love my hair and I love her. Go see Courtney and you'll walk out feeling fabulous, guaraaaanteeeed. more

I've been going to Quinn at Paris Parker for almost 7 years now and have never been disappointed! He's great to talk to and always does an excellent job. I've never had a bad experience at Paris Parker--the atmosphere is wonderful, the people are helpful and it's an all around great place to get services done! more

I have gone to Paris Parker Prytania for a few years now and have continued to receive EXCELLENT color services from Chrissie. Although the entire staff is great, Chrissie is wonderful/professional and consistently provides exactly what I'm looking for. I am pretty particular about the blonde highlights that I get and I always leave a very satisfied customer. more

I went to customer appreciation night and was greeted immediately, told about the promotion and consulted with the man to figure out what service I could book to enjoy the gift card. He recognized me two weeks later and checked me in. Jackie was amazing and the embrightenment facial proved results.. The only reason I prefer other locations is the noise. I will always be back anyway because of the fantastic service. more
