Worst

I took my current and my previous dog there for years. I hadn't heard good reports about the other 2 Catonsville vets. They were fine, but I never walked out with less than a $4...

EXPENSIVE +++++ 5/15/2012

I took my current and my previous dog there for years. I hadn't heard good reports about the other 2 Catonsville vets. They were fine, but I never walked out with less than a $400 bill for our annual exam and flea and heartworm medicine. I just assumed this was normal. My co-workers in Arbutus recommended the Arbutus Veterinary Hospital. I took my dog and my son's kitten and the bill was $269 for BOTH of their annual visits. He even cleaned the teeth and got off some very thick brown tartar(Paradise told me it would be $400 for the sedation and cleaning) and clipped his nails(extra $15 at Paradise) as part of the regular annual exam. I was thrilled when I got the bill for both animals and it was so much less than Paradise and they did soooo much more work. I will never return to Paradise Animal Hospital. more

Wonderful place to take your pet. 6/10/2008

I took my cat to Paradise today and I was very happy with the service and the bill I received. I was told they were expensive and was bracing myself. \r I waited in the waiting room for all of 5 minutes, which usually isn?t the case in any doctor?s office. The vet tech was very friendly and gently with my older cat who was very nervous to be at the veterinarian?s office. \r Dr. Prestia did a very through exam and was very nice to both my cat and myself. She explained everything she was going to do and told me everything looked very good. For a 15 year old cat, she was in great health. I took her in because I found a lump on her shoulder. The doctor told me it was probably nothing but I had 2 options. Let it sit and hope it's not cancerous or send it to the lab to check. She gave me her recommendation, told me the price and gave me the option. Of course I chose to check it out. She ensured me that I would hear from her in about 5 days and if she received the results before then she more

Doggone Good Boarding Facility 3/30/2008

This is a clean and professional boarding facility. The staff is caring and compassionate and extra patient with "high-maintenance" doggy clients. We boarded our dog here for two weeks when we were out of the country and felt completely secure in knowing she was receiving the best of care. The kennels are walk-in and the dogs receive individualized care and outdoor exercise, with the option for extra "playtime." They will also do grooming. Thorough intake and exit exams ensure a healthy environment. Worth the drive. Book early for summer and holidays. more

They care about you as well as your pet 10/31/2007

The doctors here are honest and real and help you make an educated decision. \r Many vets seem to want to add on all sorts of extra charges and, since I volunteer at an animal shelter, I know many of these are fluff. I don't get that feeling here. more

they really care about animals 9/16/2005

I am the kind of person who wants the best care for my dog because I want my dog to be with me for a long long time. I have been to a variety of veternarians over the years because many of them are just there to make money and do not care about their job. The staff here is absolutely wonderful. When my dog got sick, they just took such wonderful care of her and I know she felt comfortable with them. Usually she doesn't take very well to strangers, but that did not happen in this case. I finally found a great veternarian and knowing my dog will be taken care of well whenever she comes here, puts my mind at ease. more

wonderful 3/28/2005

they care about my dogs. had to have 1 dog put down and the vet and staff cried with me. they may cry with everyone but i knew they cared about us. when i have an emergency i just go right there and they take the dog to be examined. PROS: caring to the humans not just the animal CONS: they arent open 24/7 more
