Let me start by saying that the crabcakes are out of this world. My husband and I love to try new places and test the crabcakes. We had passed Pappas many times, but never thought of going inside. However, the parking lot was always full, so we knew that something good was going on inside. The menu has many great choices even for the non seafood eater. The gentleman who plays the piano was most friendly and made us feel right at home. Pappas is receiving only three stars because the service leaves alot to be desired. I even wondered if we were not really welcomed there as tipping African Americans. The first time I thought well maybe it's just me, but then the second time with the same waitress,I thought maybe this is just how they treat people. I am not sure that I want to go a third time to test the waters. The restaurant is beautful and the crabcakes are delicious. However, the service has left a bad taste in not only my mouth, but the mouths of other African Americans who have experienced the same as a Pappas diner.
Pros: excellent crabcake/seafood
Cons: unfriendly service
