If your looking for a nice restuarant with good food and even better prices - Pappa D's is it. I live on the East side of town and it's all fast food or mexican. It's great to have such a cozy neighborhood restuarant that costs a little more than a big mac meal deal but so much better. A friend of mine told me about it and if you don't know about it you won't ever know it exists. It's hidden back into the Mayfair neighborhood, but it's definatly worth finding. Pros: Inexpensive, Good Food Cons: Hard to find more

Definitly a Hidden Gem in Denver 6/23/2004

This restaurant is an oasis of relief amidst the quagmire of restaurant chains. Being family owned and operated gives it an ambiance that is hard to beat and the food . . . well it is impeccable. I dine out often in Denver and have eaten at some very ritzy restaurants none of which can compare with the appetizing specials I have experienced at this quaint and local establishment. I heard about a new neighborhood restaurant at work and had to try it. Glad I did!!! The food was incredible! I like Italian (try the 5280 lasagna or manicotti), my wife likes Mexican (try one of the combo plates) and the kids enjoyed the stone oven pizza. The service was great and the atmosphere cozy and inviting. The restaurant has a unique decor. The walls literally have doors on them! The waitstaff proudly explained that they came from the old Spears hospital that was once across the street. If you like Italian and Mexican food along with hand-tossed stone oven pizza, this neighborhood restaurant is for you and your family. It truly is worth the trip!!
