We've had them all! Nobody is better than Papa John's. Great taste and variety. And the people there are terrific.

Worst

Delivery pizza almost as bad as it can be, never hot, takes forever, cheese and sauce less than satisfactory.

Don't order on a weekend or online. 11/12/2006

After waiting over 10 minutes on hold on the phone, I placed an order online. After an hour, I still hadn't received a confirmation email. When I tried to call back, I was put on hold again for over 10 minutes. I finally drove to the place to see what was wrong and they couldn't find my pizza and promised me it was on its way to my house. Half an hour later when it didn't arrive, I called on the phone to cancel the order and actually got through. I won't order from this place again. Cons: under staffed more

Good food 2/7/2003

Papa Johns is the perfect alternative to Pizza Hut or Dominoes. Unlike the first two, your pizza does not include a few extra table spoons of grease. Very fresh ingredients which actually taste like theyre supposed to and a killer sauce make up this pizza. Id highly recommend it as a ""fast food"" pizza place of choice. There are better places to get a pie, than Papa Johns! The best pizza in the world comes from New York, but since Hampton Roads isn't fortunate enough to have that , East Side Pizza on Portsmouth Blvd, will do. Papa Johns? Please! That's like saying the best mexican food is at Taco Bell! more

The crust of Papa John's pizza always seems to be just right, and it is not as greasy as other companies. Pros: Easy, Fast for pick-up, Great Cons: Slow for Delivery, Still eat at home more

East Side Pizza -Ptown-real ny pizza 11/6/2002

You have to try EastSide Pizza on Portsmouth Blvd in Portsmouth. The owners and workers are from New York City and it's the way real hand made NY pizza should taste and feel. You'll never go back to chain store pizza again. There prices are great and a slice is a real meal. Definately a 10 plus..... more

An excellent pizza. Great sause and crust and very hot on arrival. Also minimum delivery time. Quick phone response and courteous order taking. No excessive pitching for additional sales. Pros: Great Sause, Great Crust, Arrives very hot Cons: Pricey, scimpy toppings more
