I had a ski accident on January 5th 2019 and broke a piece of my tibia. I came to this clinic and saw dr. Robinson which is a great GREAT doctor. The gave me the biggest brace there was after my first appointment, my weight is 88 lb, i expressed my concern to the doctor and he said i should try to use that brace since it is designed for all heights and weights. After my first appointment i still thought that brace was not supporting my leg, and wasnt really doing its job. On my second/third appointment i talked to the doctor, and told him i still thought that brace was not a good fit for me, when he saw it, he agreed and he gave me a different brace. 5 MONTHS AFTER my accident i receive a bill and the clinic is charging me $433.55. The original price for this brace is "$1,088" and the statement shows they "adjusted" the original price by $654.45. Once they send me a statement a couple of days later i get an email saying they are going to send my bill to collections within 10 days. WHY? like ive been going STILL to the same clinic and this charges were not there. I mean, i knew i had to pay for the brace, but $433.55 for something i used once or twice???? I tried calling the billing department, i was on the phone for almost 2 hours, its not the first time this happens, their billing department SUCKS, of course they couldnt help and asked me to call the clinic, when i did guess what???? they told me i needed to call the billing team AGAIN. This is like the worst nightmare. I want to to be clear I love doctor Robinson, he was very supportive in my healing process, and i do not blame this on him. I do blame the clinic for having such an awful billing support team, i was on the phone for 2 hours and the queue was only 8 people. I WILL NEVER EVER EVER EVER BE BACK IN THIS CLINIC. Stay away, if you are already a patient make sure they are not going to charge you over $433 for a brace that is $60 or less in amazon.
