Overpriced and Arrogant ! 7/4/2008

I arrived to try the place out during a slow time and there was only one other table there who was already having lunch. I placed my order and asked if they could warm my sandwich in the over to which they replied\r ""we don't do that here"". Ok, I guess the customer is not gonna get any hospitality. When I did get my sandwich, I asked for a glass of water. We only have bottled water was the reply. I asked how they washed their hands and they said they had a tap but don't give tap water. What arrogance. How does this place stay in business. The sandwich was ok, but nothing special . And at $8.00 for a cheese sandwich, a bit overpriced. Pros: Mist system outside Cons: Few tables and NO customer service. more

My favorite Phoenix eatery. 4/28/2008

I used to live right down the street from this place and my daughter and I would walk there every Saturday to each eat a Foccaccia del Giorno and split a Tomato, Basil and Mozzarella sandwich. The things that really set Pane Bianco apart from other places are its bread and its mozzarella. The ciabatta is so rich and flavorful and the mozzarella... Well, just give it a try.\r \r I give a lot of credit to the quality of the food here to the attention-to-detail of Chris. I see him in there regularly and am confident that he will keep this place at the same level of Pizzeria Bianco. Pane Bianco is my hidden gem.\r \r I live in Tucson and I will even take the 10 through Phoenix to go to San Diego SPECIFICALLY to stop by this joint on Saturday mornings. That's how highly I think of it.\r \r The front staff is great and always remembers my name. I wish I could say the same! Pros: Simplicity. Mozzarella. Bread. more

Some of the Best Sandwiches I've Ever Had; Gourmet But Pricey 10/22/2006

Great minimalist menu, kitchen, outside dining area. Sandwiches are all amazing. But paying $8 for a brown bag sandwich, no matter how good, with no chips, makes this one for special occasions versus a daily meal. It's the ""daytime"" version of the famous phoenix pizza joint... this is open during the day, the other location downtown at night. There soprassetta (mispelled??) sandwich is a standout. Pros: Wonderful Sandwiches; Simple Menu Makes Ordering Easy Cons: Only Open For Lunch; $8 Sandwiches May Seem Pricey more

Great Place! 8/8/2006

This is one of the best places I have ever eaten. They use very high quality ingredients with quality production. The food is simple and spectacular. One the best places to eat in Phoenix. Pros: Great food! The coffee shop Lux is next door (probably best coffee in Phoenix). Cons: There are not a lot of places to sit and it is rather hot to sit outside in the Summer. more

Journey to Mecca 7/6/2006

This whole little shopping center with Lux on one side serving the best coffee, Passage on the other side presenting truly artistic clothes, and Panne Bianco in the center serving the best sandwhiches anywhere makes me proud to live in Phoenix. more

Great sandwiches 11/17/2005

I absolutely love the tuna sandwich and tomato/mozzarella salad. I've been told that the daily market sandwich is better. Not cheap but worth every penny. Nice casual atmosphere. more
