I, unlike many people, was a born and raised Nashvillian. After leaving town 26 years ago to live all over the world, I returned to find a changed, more upscale and cosmopolitan city. I was delighted to learn that Pancake Pantry is not only still in business, but that it had moved into a new building, and still feels like the lod establishment. Good service, bustle, great coffee and what I believe are the finest breakfasts in the world still exist here. Try Cornmeal Pancakes - they are literally the best of the best. Great omelets, home-made and tasty blintzes and other items adorn the menu. Plus - I have known many of the waitresses since my high school days (Hi Joyce) when I used to go there with my late father. This is the best breakfast not just in Nashville, but arguably one of the best in the nation.
Pros: Fantastic pancakes, Great omelets, Excellent service
Cons: Tough parking, Long seating lines
