I also had an experience with Pam like Alexa 1 below. My son went to Honduras in January and requested through his brother that his membership be put on hold for three months. His brother was told to give his signature and that they would do it, but she continued to charge his ATM card. My son has since decided to remain in Honduras another year, so I, his father, went there and asked that his membership be put on hold until his return. She replied that she couldn't do that without my son's coming in and giving his signature. I asked her - did she expect my son to fly back from Honduras just to sign a piece of paper? I told her I would sign her piece of paper but she told me - astoundingly - that, no, he had to be the one. She has every intention of continuing to extort money from my son's bank account, so now we are forced to close it. He has been a member of this gym for quite some time and would have continued after his return. She has now lost a valuable customer. Not very good business sense in such a small town! This woman is very dishonest! Please be forewarned!! more

I had a very similar situation to Alexa1 below. I finally had to take her to small claims court. I won and she was ordered to refund all overpayment. . more

This gym is the BEST gym in town. She has all the aminities you could want to get fit!!! She is the WALMART of gyms in this town. Great price for the value!! She treats everyone like they are family and we feel that we can talk to her about anything. The place is clean and open with lots of room. Not too many people to work around. She has a 3,000 sqf facility with high seilings to bring in fresh air from out side, plus skylights. She like to open the big garage doors in Spring and summer to let natural light in plus the fresh air feels like workingout outside. I decided to give a local small business woman the benefit of the doubt and join her gym last summer in August 2009 for a 3 month deal, even though I could have joined ANY other gym in town for a few dollars more--(about $10 more) and had ALL the amenities the other gyms offer like classes,showers, pools, tennis, racket ball etc. SO when my 3 months was done and I started going on a month to month basis in November 09, I realized I would not have enough time for the gym over the holidays and into New Year and told her I needed to stop my membership, that was the end of November 2009, since then I have canceled every month to no avail, she keeps charging my credit card every month!!! Every time I have called there or left a message for her to call me with a human OR a machine, SHE HAS NEVER RETURNED MY CALLS, yet she is sure capable of charging my credit card every month for services I have not received! I have not set foot in her gym to workout since November 2009, it is now April 2009 and I saw NEW charges again on my credit card statement, so I called and the young man answering the phone again said they had lost or not received my cancellation and that ""PAM"" was not available to hear my concerns, and I would have to come in AGAIN and sign yet another cancellation (that was the 3rd one this year) so I left work and went directly there and signed her slip of plain paper AGAIN and demanded that the young boy at the counter get her on the phone immediately. Upon being called by her employee and being put on the line with me I told her how angry I was that she continually charges my credit card when I signed NO LONG TERM AGREEMENT with her and that we live in a small town and she should think about how she is treating her clients, she went on a tyraid about how she needs ""30 days notice to cancel"" to which I said, ""How many 30 days notices would you like, I have given it to you every month since November 2009?"" she said she had no record or recollection of my canceling!!! Her gym is the size of my living room and she has a small clientele, she was being quite ridiculous making a statement like that, completely DISHONEST to be precise. She then went on to say she was going to charge me for yet another month to get her 30 day notice, I told her that would not be a wise idea and she should think about the impact of everyone finding out what she was doing, she said she did not care, so here I am, I have never had to write anything like this, but for this kind of treatment and dishonesty, I FELT COMPELLED TO WARN OTHERS! DO NOT GIVE THIS WOMAN YOUR CREDIT CARD INFO! She is a terrible business woman, and a liar. My credit card company even advised me to put identity theft protection on my account because they advised any business that is that unreasonable cannot be trusted not to disseminate my financial information now and in the future!!! WHAT A HORRIBLE HEADACHE! BEWARE OF PAM'S FITNESS FIRST!!! I can feel I have done my duty now as a citizen to warn the local public! Cons: Never stops charging my credit card! more
