Dr. Clements is the most wonderful person in the world!!! He not only takes great care of my 6 kitties when they come in for boosters or to have their teeth clean, he will take in...

No hidden fees 3/25/2011

One other important thing to note is that they stayed true to the estimate for costs that I was given before her surgery...there were no surprise charges or hidden fees, etc. I did TONS of research and this vet is a value in terms of the price, too. more

Never rude to me 3/24/2011

Dr. Haan cropped my baby doberman's ears a few weeks ago and has been WONDERFUL through the aftercare process. They carefully regulated her pain relief, they called to check on her at least twice, gave her a bath when she messed in her crate, offered to wash her crate linens, etc. etc. etc. They are NEVER rude to me when I call and have always been able to get me in on a rush basis her to have my puppy's ears retaped when she manages to shake off her protective cup. more

I fully intend to go back to Dr. Ramos 3/24/2011

I moved away a few years ago and am moving back into the area within the next month or so. I fully intend to go back to Dr Ramos. more

I am so happy we didn't give up 3/16/2011

I have a beautiful 4 year old Balinese female called Angel. All thanks to Dr Ramos and her wonderful care. When I got the kitten she was very young probably 6 weeks old. She was a gift and was purchased from a family raising them in their home. At her first visit to Dr Ramos we discovered she had Ring-worm. It seemed an easy thing to treat, but sad to say she came very close to dying as the ring-worm spread all over her body. Dr Ramos helped us through and I am so happy we didn't give up. And she worked with us on the deposit when we had to leave Angel overnight. more

best vet hands down 3/11/2011

I have a 4 1/2 lb toy fox terrier who was viciously attacked by my Jack Russell. She has a very small neck and was ripped clean through to the muscle. She also had a deep wound across her back. She had 23 stitches. He took her in on an emergency in Palmyra and he kept her for a week and then he brought her personally to Harrisburg for me to pick her up. She was in very bad shape and he did not think she would live. I would call in the morning and in the evening and the staff told me they were back holding her and cuddling her. He may not be the gentlest doctor to talk to, not exactly a people person, but he is an excellent vet with many years of experience. I also had a Jack Russell I took to his Palmyra office on an emergency when she was having trouble giving birth to her puppies. Two vets worked on her that night and gave each of us a puppy to hold and massage to get them to breath. We were right there to see the whole thing. They were wonderful. One of the puppies didn't make it but it was my fault for not taking her in sooner. A few years ago I had a female Jack Russell with an enlarged heart which Dr. Clements diagnosed. I was upset and in disbelief and I took her to Dauphin County Animal Clinic who diagnosed her as not having a heart problem. Well, let me tell you, my Jack Russell died on the way to the Emergency Clinic in Mechanicsburg because she DID have a heart problem and they could not take care of it. I was stupid to not listen to Dr. Clements. I own 6 dogs, 2 birds and 2 cats and they were not my regular vets, but they are now. So, anyone who does not take advantage of the abilities and experience of Dr. Clements is a fool. more

Overall good experience 3/11/2011

We took our 13 year old cat in as his health took a quick downturn. We had never been there before, but they were very kind to us. Unfortunately, we discovered our cat had cancer. We decided not to let him continue to suffer. The office sent us a beautiful card, placed his ashes in a beautifully engraved wooden box complete with a certificate about the ""Final Act of Love"". Overall, we had a very good experience during a very painful time. more

Love my new vet 2/11/2011

This is where I took my little TJ when I lived in the 'burg.  They're really talented vets with quality assistants.  The place is very clean and the pricing is reasonable for the service you're being given.  I highly recommend checking into them if you're in the market for a new vet! more

Great experience and will return 2/11/2011

I finally found a vet's office that I can be happy with! The people here are very friendly and helpful, and I didn't have too long of a wait for my appointment. I do wish that there was some kind of barrier to keep the cats separate from the dogs, as my cat was getting very stressed, but with the short wait time, my kitty didn't have to be stressed out for too long. more

extreme appreciation 12/30/2010

This is a note of extreme appreciation for caring for one pet feret. Because we were not prepared for the cost of such an invasive surgery that he needed, and did not want to put him down, Dr. Ramos was very kind & compassionate & offered to do the work probono and find a suitable home for him if if he survived. Dr. Ramos stayed in touch with us and let us know that he came through with flying colors and was in fact adopted by another person at your practice. Your kindness will never be forgotten by our family. more

Thank you all, we miss him 12/23/2010

We would like to thank all of you for taking such good care of Harley over the years. I know everyone thought he was fierce but he was only a big scarty cat. We would especially like to thank Dr. Amy Ricasto and Brent since you usually saw him the most. Dr. Kayor I wish you could have met Harley under different circumstances. Thank you all. We miss him terribly more

Thank you so much 12/7/2010

Thank you sooo much for your astute & insightful assessment of my dearest dog and Friend Bo! You gave me another 6 weeks to care for him . I am very grateful to you. more

Thank you 11/30/2010

I want to thank you for everything you have done for us and mainly for Digby. Our entire family is so relieved that you gave us a second option, other than putting him down. It’s a huge impact on us not having him here anymore but we feel hopeful that he survived the surgery that you offered with another doctor. We know now for future references just incase we decided to get another ferret. more

Blessed to have you 11/19/2010

My whole family is blessed to have you as our vet. We know how to come to you with any of our animal problems. You and the whole animal clinic were an answer to our prayers thanks again. more

You guys have been awesome to my family 11/10/2010

You guys have been awesome to my family over the past 19 years. I would trust no other clinic with the health of my pets. Thank you! As you are aware, I am now a foster parent with Castaway more

BE CAREFUL! 11/6/2010

When you take your pet here for surgery, it is transported to Palmyra Animal Clinic and then transported back. They are losing pets in transport per some disgruntled former employees. I am assuming because they are taken off the IV and Oxygen too soon and put into the back of a bumpy truck instead of being constantly monitored in a quite environment! Be careful, Dr. Clements is a butcher and misdiagnosed my animal 2x, once almost killer her, see the review for the Palmyra Animal Clinic. He also owns Silver Springs Animal Clinic! DO YOUR RESEARCH! more

Stay as far away from this place and Dr. Ramos-Rivera as you 10/29/2010

they are greedy and heartless with no compassion. My Dog lost her life because of it.\r \r Dr. Ramos-Rivera did not even give me the time a day, talk to me and get to know me and my Life situation.\r As a Doctor they take an oath to save a Life. I was told to apply for a Care Credit Card,\r since they are not doing any payment plans for expensive surgeries estimated $1200.00\r After I made the hardest decision of my Life to put my Dog to sleep I was offered to surrender her. \r They then perform the surgery for free and then find her a new good home. Excuse me ???\r She had a good home with me and if the only other option they give a loving pet owner\r that can’t pay the bill for an expensive surgery in once, is to sign their beloved pet is over than this unethical and beyond cruelty. They may as well ask for your proof of Income when you make an appointment.\r Looking back I am wondering if Dr. Ramos-Rivera would have given me the same “goodhearted offer” \r if my Dog would have been a Heinz57 and not a purebred Pembroke Welsh Corgi.\r Fact is before I would go there again I’d rather go out of state to find a Vet\r more

Caring staff 8/31/2010

Caring staff - very professional. Convienent location for those in Colonial Park area. Will board pets - may take them to their Palmyra facility. There's a number of vets at the office. Love the paw print wallpaper. The waiting area is nice, and the desk staff has always been amazing will us and our dog. They send you reminder postcards for vaccinations and needed tests, too. more

My compliments to you 7/22/2010

My compliments to you on one of your Dr.s and the way she handles both pets and customers. I had our dog Murphy on June 15 for her annual shots and as usual I requested Dr. Barbara Ramos. Rivera. Dr. Rivera is so kind and patient and takes time to examine and not rush us through Murphys appointment. I appreciate that so very much more
