Hi Judy, I first came here to adopt a kitten to take home which got sick after three weeks with a upper respiratory infection and died overnight. In the morning I buried the six week old kitten out front under a rose bush of my garden. I went back to the shelter sad and told what had happened and they gave me a three month old kitten which is six months old today happy and healthy. After this happened I looked at animals in a whole different way. I can now see they have personality to them. That's when it began I found myself a animal lover. I asked to be a volunteer that day and they excepted me. I have been a volunteer at this shelter for animal care and clean up now for three months. Since I signed up and volunteered here Aug 1, 2006. I love working here with the animals, the workers, and the customers that come in to adopt. This shelter is very clean with good workers, including myself. From my experience in working here in my opinion, I think this shelter is needed. They have the cleanest safest and best facilities here to offer the community. This is why I rate this shelter great with four stars! I have made three things to pin up on the cork bulletin board of the wall near the door of the main office. With a flier that reads "for the animal lovers!!!" These animals need good homes! Asking to please adopt with the shelter's name, address, phone number, and website. An animal poem titled "Rescue Me" Dedicated to animals in shelters. Also a colorful eye catching animal collage for the customers to see in helping to speed up the adoption process. Thank you for your time in reading this review and for your support in having a review for people to voice their opinions. Bye for now ';'
