This establishment gave away 4 dress pants and 3 dress shirts without contacting me to provide warning of this disposition. Did not follow proper disposition procedures, can't even tell me if they attempted to contact me. The fine print simply states, We are not responsible for items left longer than 30 days, it DOES NOT state, if after 30 days we don't see you, we will give away your clothes!! I had been using Palm Valley Cleaners regularly for almost a year. They did an ""ok"" job though I routinely had to bring shirts back for re-washing. Recently, I picked up my laundry only to find one of the shirts w/ a long tear down the front. It was a dress shirt worn only to work and certainly wasn't used in a rugby match, as it appeared. It was a few months old and had only been worn a handful of times. I returned it to the cleaners so they could try to address the problem. I was eventually left a message that the owner determined the damage to be a ""manufacturer defect"" but he'd give me a store credit anyway. I requested to meet w/ the owner so he could show me why and how he thought such extensive damage occured through poor shirt manufacturing. Over the course of 2 weeks I left 4 messages for him. Each time I was told that he was aware and would get back to me. Only after hand delivering a letter to the shop in which I requested a cash refund did I recieve a call. He accepted no responsibility for the damage to the shirt or the lack of follow up on his part. There was no apology and no empathy. Just a ""tough luck for you"" attitude. I will NEVER use the dry cleaner again and suggest you avoid it as well. There are many other shops in the west valley that will actually appreciate your business and remember what customer service is all about.
