Hatch, DVM missed valley fever in my dog as well. Does anybody have any recommendations for a good vet for the west side of the Valley? I live in Goodyear.

Absolutely LOVE Dr Hatch jr. He spent much time with us, explaining everything, He could have gotten me to pay tons of money but he was honest. I am thrilled that this was not an expensive day. I wish he could be MY DOCTOR!!!! more

I have never found Vets that care about my animals as much as this team. You can tell they are sincere and not just pretending. more

We thank you and Puff thanks you. Did you see the article about Puff? http://goodmorningkitten.com/kitten/1533/ Michael says: We acquired Puff one cold and rainy Saturday in Phoenix. My boys and I went to visit friends and on the way home we decided to stop at the new Hobby Lobby to look for a remote-controlled boat. The store is in a big strip mall with lots of parking spaces. As we were walking into the store, we saw this tiny kitten in the parking lot. It looked like it had been run over and was not moving, and we assumed it must be dead. I told my boys that we would go into the store and look to see if it was still there when we came out. When we came out of the store the kitten was not where it had been. We were back in the car ready to leave when my middle son spotted it on a parking berm. Someone had apparently moved it. My son got out of the car to take a closer look, and he screamed, ""I see the kitten moving!"" My boys wanted to know what we could do to help it. I told them to pick it up and I would call my friend Dr. Robert Hatch, the local vet, to see what we should do. Dr. Hatch explained how to bottle-feed the kitten and nurse it back to health. The first few days he just slept and ate. He could not walk or stand up and we thought that he might have some injuries. But Dr. Hatch came by to check on him and said that all was fine. The kitten quickly became a very aggressive eater, chewing through several bottle nipples. He must have developed these eating habits during his days on the streets. We named him Puff after the character in the children's pre-primers featuring Sally, Dick, and Jane because he looked just the kitten from the stories. Puff is now a happy member of our household and gets to see Dr. Hatch on a regular basis. more

Run as fast as you can away from this 4/8/2012

Run as fast as you can away from this clinic if you love your pets! Hatch Jr. missed Valley Fever in my dog and two years later had to amputate his toe. He also had skin ulcerations thur out the years and he said oh its probably just a allergic reaction. Really is that why you treated him with Antibotics? This guy is a joke! Shame on me for sticking around three years to late! Also had a neighbor that moved here from Chicaco and he missed diagnosed Cancer in their dog. Horriable place, I found two country Vets that work on all types of animals. Unbelievable change in my dog! He runs & walks fast again has not done this in 3 years. No Joke. I live in Palm Valley and I beg everyone of you run to someone else before he kills your pet or drugs them up so much they don't have a good life! I spent so much money that I should own stock in that place! more

Big Mistake 10/26/2011

I am a Palm Valley resident and a huge animal lover. With the Palm Valley Animal Clinic being so close by we thought it would be a good place for our new Vet. I took my 6 year old beagle in because I had reason to believe that he had a thyroid problem. He had many symptoms which led me to believe it might be the case. I pointed out to the doctor the enormous amount of hair loss on his tail, told him about his loss in appetite, and his recent weight gain. The doctor went on to say it is most likely from him wagging his tail and hitting things with it. He told us everything looks good and off we went. Needless to say we believed him (big mistake) and recently the symptoms have been getting worse. He is now pretty much bald on his tail, his skin is severely flaking, has an increased temper, and still has no appetite but still many extra pounds. So now, doctor, tell me that this is not a thyroid problem. To my understanding if you catch the symptoms early your dog can go on and lead a long happy life. I took my dog to Palm Valley Animal Clinic about a year ago when we first started noticing the symptoms. Now, a year later, everything has gotten worse and my dogs health is in danger. I advise anyone who loves and cares for their pet to not bring them to Palm Valley Animal Clinic. more

""3"" Fabulous Doctors with caring staff 10/25/2011

Given the rave reviews here I would have to say that ""Younggirl25"" motives are suspicious at best. I am a long time client and while I have found the front desk to be busy, they have always been professional. I have seen emergencies and euthanasia appointments be dealt with immediately which is more than I can say for other places that I have been. I have found all ""3"" doctors to be professional and caring. Thank you Younggirl25 for leaving an appointment available for me as they can be scarce because they are so busy ! more

Gross 10/4/2011

Just wanted to say the dr. is gross and seem to be more interested in my boobs then my dog. However the tech (Michelle) was very nice and seem to care about my dog. Plus the receptionist over the phone and when I was there were rude. I will never go back there again with any of my pets. more

Amazing Animal Clinic 4/14/2010

We used to take our dogs to the animal clinic in Buckeye because that's where we grew up. In the past few years, we started going to Palm Valley Animal Clinic because we didn't want to make the drive anymore. Even prior to our most recent experience, I would've recommended this clinic, but we recently had to make the decision to euthanize our dog. It was one of the toughest decisions we've ever had to make, but Dr. Lipovitch and the staff at Palm Valley Animal Clinic helped us through this time with caring and compassion. I don't know if we could've done it without them. When I first called the clinic, Rhonda told me we couldn't get in until the next day. I was nearly hysterical on the phone, and she helped me as much as she could and made an appointment for 2:30 the next day. After we hung up, she called back within 10 minutes and asked if I could come in 2 hours later. I so appreciated that extra effort. When I arrived with our dog, they took us into an exam room immediately. Within seconds, we saw the vet tech (I feel terrible that I can't remember her name, but she was awesome), and minutes after that Dr. Lipovitch came in. He spent at least 1/2 an hour with me discussing options. My husband arrived, and we must have been there at least an hour before we decided that euthanasia was the best option. We were never rushed or pushed to do one thing or the other, even though I'm pretty sure they squeezed us in and probably needed the room. We decided that euthanasia was the best option for Xena, but we wanted to give our kids a chance to say goodbye. They asked us when we wanted to come back and when we came back a couple of hours later, they had a room ready for us in the back. As we walked back, Rhonda put her arm around me and consoled me as I sobbed. They said that we could either use the table or sit with her on the floor on a blanket that they had already laid down. We chose the floor. The same vet tech as earlier took Xena and put the catheter in. Then they just gave us time. When we were ready, Dr. Lipovitch came in, sat on the floor with us, and applied the anesthesia. The whole experience was so peaceful, and I watched my beautiful Xena go from pain to peaceful sleep in a matter of seconds. This was a heartbreaking experience, but Palm Valley Animal Clinic gave us everything we need to make it through. Most importantly, they gave us time. We were never rushed. Whether you need routine or extraordinary animal care, this clinic is a place where animals are loved and respected and so are the people who love them. Pros: caring, friendly staff more

Vet Helped with Dog's End of Life 4/14/2010

We've seen Dr. Lipovitch several times for routine visits for our dogs. We've always liked him, but in the past week we had to make the decision about how to handle one of our elderly dog's end of life. I don't know if I would feel as good about our decision if it hadn't been for Dr. Lipovitch. He carefully outlined all of our options, and he was always very objective. He never inserted his own opinion into the discussion, but he put all of the possible decisions in context. He gave us all the time we needed and never rushed us, even though we took a long time, and they might have needed the room. When we finally made our decision to euthanize our Xena, he supported us and made the experience as peaceful and special as he could. This man obviously has a way with both people and animals, and if you have a chance to take your animals to him, don't miss the opportunity. Pros: Caring, compassionate, understanding more

Thank You Palm Valley!! 3/12/2009

I would absolutely recommend this animal clinic to anyone who loves their pets. We have taken all 3 of our cats and now are taking our new puppy. Every time we go we are welcomed by the extremely friendly staff and they take great care with every single animal that walks in the door. You can tell immediately that everyone there enjoys their job and the animals they care for. We love all the staff and are very pleased and thankful to have found them 3 years ago when we moved to AZ.\r Thank you Palm Valley for loving our pets as much as we do!! more

Very Compassionate Group 1/6/2009

I had my dog put down today and every person in that office showed that they cared for me and my dog. They handled both of us with care and consideration. I had never been to this Animal Clinic before, but they treated me and my dog like they had known us forever. I would recommend this Animial Clinic to anyone. more

Best Vet around! 5/21/2008

Palm Valley Animal Clinic is, hands-down, the BEST most compassionate veterinary clinic I have EVER gone to! (And I've had a ton of animals over the years that have been treated there) Dr. Hatch, Sr. and his son, Dr. Hatch, Jr. as so knowledgeable and so understanding. The animals they treat are more than just ""animals"" ... they treat like the loved family members that they truly ARE! I would highly recommend BOTH these doctors and their clinic to anyone!! I have recently moved from the Avondale/Goodyear area into metropolitan Phoenix ... but I won't be changing Vets for my cat! They are well worth the drive!!! more
