If you like pizza and a sweeter red sauce here is your ticket. The pizza here is my family's favorite. Once in a while if you dine in they might have bracioles. Wonderful roll...

DISAPPOINTING!!!! Pros: Great Fresh Bread Cons: Location, Noise Level, Valet

Editorial review from Citysearch 7/2/2012

Awful customer service! They did not treat a long-time customer right and I will spread the word. I am also the Historian/Biographer for RANKIN/BASS PRODUCTIONS (RUDOLPH THE RED-NOSED REINDEER, FROSTY THE SNOWMAN, etc.). I will continue to write about my experience with PALERMO'S 95th NOT SO FINE ITALIAN CUISINE! more

Best Tiramisu in Chicagoland? 3/5/2010

If you like pizza and a sweeter red sauce here is your ticket. The pizza here is my family's favorite. Once in a while if you dine in they might have bracioles. Wonderful rolled-up pounded- flat -beef- steak in a red sauce. We often order dinner for delivery and the chicken in white-wine sauce is excellent. Chicken scallopini is rich and loaded with noodles and mushrooms. Finally, the tiramisu is outstanding. Have some for dessert if and I mean if ...you have room. Pros: Pizza, dinners and the tiramisu Cons: can be very busy more

This is by far the best CHICAGO PIZZA DELIVERY! 8/5/2009

I've found that asking for the pizza well done or crispy gets me exactly what I want. Toppings taste fresh, frankly I like this place.\r For the price and the quality of food, you can't beat this place! ORDER ONLINE NOW AT http://chicago.eat24hours.com/pizza more

very good... 4/6/2009

I really like the pepperoni pizza!! Its always hot, and you get a lot for the money. Reasonably priced. I would definitely recommend them to my friends! more

DELICIOUS! 1/22/2009

chicago is obviously known for its amazing pizza with names like giordanos, lou malnatis, ginos east....but palermo's definitely holds its own! there sauce is absolutely delicious, one of a kind! they can be pricey but you have to pay for quality like this! more

Best pizza in Chicago! 12/31/2008

Brought a pizza back to SoCal for the wife. The best pizza I've ever tasted. more

Great thin crust pizza 11/5/2008

I've been to all 3 palerrmos locations and have been going for years now. This also goes back 2 generations. Anyways they have the best thin crust pizza around and its because of the sauce. I think the owners ar all family ut the best one is just east of pulaski on 69th street I believe. more

Be Careful!!! 10/13/2008

Food wasn't bad, pizza has been good in the past. However, I will never again eat here! Bottom line, watch your credit card statements here as I suspect shady business is going on. more

fine dining in the suburbs 10/9/2008

I never really ate here until a friend of mine started to work here and always rave about their pizza. The food was good and its more of a ritzy place if you are looking to dress up and go sit down and eat. The prices run high but it's worth it once and a while. They have valet parking if you so chose, even the parking is really close to the entrance. The staff is nice and you get a really respected and nice atmosphere from this restaurant. more

Not good Italian Food 8/31/2008

Do not go to Palermos is you want anything remotely resembling Italian food. Their pasta is obviously the dried variety from a box. They do not have any concept of chicken parmesan. Was basically a previously frozen chicken breast with a slice of cheese on it (not provolone) on top of awful spaghetti noodles and very watery sauce. Eggplant parmesan is not fresh. It resembled round slices of paper, and any idiot could tell they took it out of a box found in the freezer. I suppose this is more our fault for thinking you get ever get good Italian food on the south side. Barracos a little further east on 95th street has really come around to more authentic Italian food. Atleast, Barracos uses FRESH ingredients. I will never order anything but pizza from Palermos. That is really all they have going for them. And when we crave fresh pasta with fresh ingredients we will glady take the dirve a little north to Rosebud, Pompei, Cafe Biondi, or Firorentines which are all outstanding for anything you order. Pros: pizza Cons: everything else more

Palermo's Pizza 8/18/2008

This is my husband's favorite pizza and after tasting it, I can see why. The thin crust is crisp and cooked perfectly. You can dine in or carry out. The atmosphere is family friendly and the waitresses are a hoot. We love coming here. more

I was at Palermo?s Monday night and it was terrible!!!!! 4/15/2008

By mistake I made my business flight arrangements from Midway rather than O?Hare, when I flew back I remembered from Check Please few years back that there is good Italian restaurant that specializes in pizzas, vesuvio dishes so I made my trip further south. I have learned now?.. more

Horrible Food and Service! 4/14/2008

I don't know what was worse - the service or the food. I took my mother for dinner on her birthday and had the worst dining experience ever. After waiting 1 hr and 30 mins, we finally were served our appetizers. Another 25 mins later we were served our soup...still waiting for our main entree. To top it off, I had to ASK a bus boy to clear our table after four of them looked at the stacked plates and bowls and walked away. The food was so rubbery we thought they were serving chew toys instead of veal and chicken. I've never been so embarrassed and insulted in my life. One bad experience is all it takes - I will never return or recommend this place to anyone. Cons: Horrible service, long wait time and bad food more

The pizza must be awesome here because the pasta is the PITS!!! 10/16/2007

DISAPPOINTING!!!! Pros: Great Fresh Bread Cons: Location, Noise Level, Valet more

Best Thin Crust Pizza 6/24/2007

The best thin crust pizza in Chicago! I got a pizza with shrimp, spinach and garlic and it was awesome! The tomato sauce at Palermos is sweet and delicious. I will be back! Pros: Great Pizza more

Best pizza on Southside, hands down 6/19/2006

Palermo's has been a favorite of both my father and I for years. Whether you are dining in or picking up the pizza is always phenomenal. I mean for those who love the sweet sauce. The inside is more of a family atmosphere but a bit nicer. I have always had nothing but great servie here when eating in. Whether is be Friday night or Monday afternoon. more

Not that great 3/15/2006

We waited forever. The bartender seemed new and alone. Sever was nice but slow. This is a pizza place not fine dinning. A great place to take the kids if you have the money. There are other places that sell pizza at a better price and just as good. I don't smoke and asked for non, I was setted next to the smoking bar. I hardly had my water refilled and the waitress was too busy to notice. The bussers.. no where to be seen. Seemed like the waitress had no help. I was told to come here because my friend loves it. I guess? I have had better and will not be returning. Pros: Valet free, choice in pizza Cons: Short staffed?, Slow , no booths more

best darn baked calms I have ever had 12/16/2005

great baked clams and really the best pizza in the world. I had it shipped to me for a special treat when i lived in San Diego.....and it consistently has the best pizza to this day more

Amazing pizza 8/11/2004

I've been eating here for 30 years. I've never had pizza this good, anywhere in the country. The rest of their menu is superb, but the pizza is unbeatable. However, if you don't like sweet sauce, you won't appreciate it. One problem is the size of the restaurant. We now order it to go because it's always so crowded the service can be lacking. Pros: Food is outstanding more

quaint 1/10/2003

Palermos's is by far the best Italian Restaurant you could go to. It blows away the Italian Restaurants in downtown Chicago. The food is out of this world, the atmosphere is quaint. I highly recommend Palermo's to anyone who is looking for a romantic dinner or a family gathering. more
