If you like pizza and a sweeter red sauce here is your ticket. The pizza here is my family's favorite. Once in a while if you dine in they might have bracioles. Wonderful roll...

it's nice to go to a place where you don't have to go downtown for great Italian food. This place has been around for 30 years. large menu great service and great martinnis'.Now I understand they are open for lunch.Don't Be fooled by other Places by the same name, you will be let down. The Place has Valet, It has class, great martinni's. Food and service is second to none. Ower is there to greet you and to trouble shoot any problems, but none were there, all in all a great place on the south side and close to Midway airport. Pros: Pizza, veal, Pasta Cons: crowed, needs a bigger place more

Anyone from the south side will say that Palermos is the place to go for pizza. I have been going there for 20 years now and it has quality has never faultered. The secret is in the sauce. It's a perfectly sweetened, thick sauce and along with their homemade sausage, makes the tastiest pizza around. Well worth the drive....you will not be upset. Every person I know that claims to have their favorite pizza changes thier mind after tasting this wonderful pie. more

The thin crust pizza alone is good enough to make a trip to this fine establishment. Smart casual is the attire, but the relaxed atmosphere puts you right at home. And speaking of home, its the home cooking quality of the pasta and meat dishes which make Palermo's so much more than just a great pizza place. Fine home made soups and tasty appetizers are also to be noted, as well as the excellent ravioli and gnocchi. There is an ample wine list and full bar service. Go for the pizza, but keep coming back for the entire menu and the friendly charm. Pros: authentic recipes, high quality, great value Cons: weekend crowds more

Best Pizza around 7/26/2002

I no longer live in Chicago, moved to Texas over 10 years ago, but everytime I visit chicago I make to Palermo's. I have even ordered it from them to be overnighted to me here, it's that great! Man I miss it ! more

The Best Thin Crust Around 5/30/2002

Palermo's has the best thin crust pizza anywhere in the city. They've got some good competition out there but when it comes down to it, Palermo's is the best...and it's all in the sauce. Palermo's also has other great food. Be sure to try the stuffed banana peppers. Palermo's makes their own sausage and it's outstanding. more
