Packard auto Transmission Service ROCKS! I waited a few weeks before I posted a review because I wanted to make sure everything that KC said checked out, and it all did :) I came in with a transmission issue - my car is not so happy getting into 3rd gear. KC said that to fully repair the issue he would have to take my entire transmission apart and it would be quite expensive (no thank you), but that he could do some other things to make the gear shift smoother, but that it would take a few weeks to fully kick in. I went for it, waited a few weeks for it to steadily make progress, and it certainly has. KC is an honest and personable person. He treated me respectfully and took the time to diagnose my car issue, explain all the options, and fixed it to my liking. He even gave me a sweet pen with a flashlight!!! If you are having transmission issues, definitely visit Packard auto /Transmissions. they are trustworthy and really good at it . I can't recommend this place enough, if you need any kind of transmission service this is the place. more

Great auto repair shop in Ann Arbor ---I've been here 3 times already and every time been very happy. This latest visit I actually broke down in the 94 highway the hand called them for towing. Their service is always prompt and very fair priced, which is rare in my experience with A2 auto repair shops. The manager KC is also always very friendly and they give you regular updates by phone if you are not there in the shop. Overall always a good experience and I can recommend them for auto repair and towing with smile thanks packard auto more

Went in for a gas leak. Was charged 6/11/2012

Went in for a gas leak. Was charged $800. Was then verbally put down by the shop owner, who actually told me (verbatim) ""Women know nothing about cars."" (This was after I had demonstrated my knowledge of the problem.) Oh, and the best part? A week later, the gas leak reappeared. Brought it to a new place, and they told me these guys never bothered to replace the seals or tubes connecting to the broken part. Those parts would have amounted to $5. Packard Auto is a bunch of sexist cheapskates. AVOID. more

THE PLACE TO GO FOR YOUR CAR 5/1/2012

Be conversational: Write as if relaying your experience to a good friend. Be thorough: Mention your favorite products or services offered by this business, such as menu items, home delivery or spa treatments. Be local: Identify the neighborhood where the business is located and mention nearby attractions when relevant.nicky ? - today THE PLACE TO GO FOR YOUR CAR! I recently bought this 2005 Camry from a dealer. After a few days, I could feel this whistling noise whenever I accelerated. I took my car to multiple mechanics and none of them could diagnose the issue and find the reason. Infact some of them even told me that this was normal for a Camry, whereas I knew that Camrys are supposed to be quiet and smooth. Finally, I read about Packard Auto and decided to take a chance. K.C was kind enough to go with me for a test drive (something very few shops do) and actually get a feel of the problem I was facing. They took in the car and gave me a complementary ride back home. They diagnosed and found that it was caused due to a cracked sepentine belt I was really impress and they are my new shop in town Thank you so much packard auto more

Employee told me, ""Women know nothing about cars"" 12/14/2011

When I brought my Audi A4 to this shop yesterday for its 140k mile service and an oil change, I was prepared to like Packard Auto. Throughout the day I was updated on my car's progress, as well as the cost of unexpected repairs. The staff was competent, knowledgeable and communicative. They offered me reasonable prices. I thought that I was being treated with respect, which is hard to come by as a woman bringing my car in for repairs. Then came the catch. As I was reviewing and paying my bill, the man named Casey behind the counter took it upon himself to tell me an anecdote that started with, ""Women know nothing about cars."" He said this to my face after I had just paid him $800. This is seriously bad customer service. First of all, being told I know nothing about cars because I am a woman was extremely insulting. Second, it was completely unnecessary and uncalled for - I thought we had been having a civil conversation up to that point. Third, it was flat-out wrong. I know more about cars, and my car in particular, than your average driver. I am a car enthusiast. I know, for instance, that Audi began manufacturing the A4 in the US in 1998 and that my car is from the first generation (B5). I bought the 2.8L V6 because it has a more reliable engine than the smaller version. I know that I will need to replace the timing belt soon (at 60k miles) because the A4 has an interference engine that causes the pistons to crash into each other and possibly destroy the engine if the timing belt breaks. I know that changing the timing belt involves taking apart the entire front end of the car and takes several hours, and that it's worth changing the serpentine belt and water pump at the same time because it doesn't make sense to disassemble the car more often than you need to. Need I really go on? I know my car inside out, and I am extremely offended that I was subjected to that insult based on my gender. I wish I could recommend this place. I really do. I was excited to have found a mechanic that didn't overcharge me and kept me well informed throughout the day. My car is running better after having taken it there. I would have loved to come back to this shop. But I can't, because I'm not willing to put up with BS sexist insults being thrown in my face. more

happy , excellent service 11/9/2011

My car just cut off and I was on my way to go pick up my kids. I was not a happy camper but luckily the tow truck driver dropped me off by the train and took the car to the shop without me. They called me right away from the shop to let me know the car had just got there and that they were going to call me back after checking it. They called me, car was fixed and to make a long story short I was very happy! thanks packard auto repair more

Affordable 8/6/2011

Packard auto repair affordable This is the 5th time I have brought my vehicles to their shop. Each service was prompt, and a reasonable price. Best they did not use the shotgun approach to fixing everything, and gave your cost benefit analysis on whether it was work fixing compared to the value of your car. THANK YOU more

love you guys 7/18/2011

Terrific service! Packard Auto are really good with the ((HONDA)). He test drove my car and identified all the outstanding issues.
