The proprieters, who also serve as chef and host, clearly love their fine establishment. The waitstaff ae helpful, friendly and efficient. For appetizers, it's hard to choose between the crabcake, the lightly fried calamari, vermicelli spring rolls. If meat is your thing, you can't go wrong with the rack of lamb or the steak. I didn't have the seafood, but my dining partners loved the sablefish(like sea bass, but more environmentally conscious) and the shrimp. The host will help you pick out a great wine. And dessert...the bittersweet chocolate cake with the hot liquid center cooled with homemade coconut ice cream and accented by sake infused cherries... need I say more? If you want to go lighter, the green tea /ginger creme brulee (2 separate minis) may hit the spot- the flavors although subtle are unmistakeable. If this place were in my hometown of NYC, I would be a frequent-flier.
Pros: tasty steak
Cons: it's not in nyc
