Sells bad machines with worse service 9/22/2009

We bought a Konica from them, and this machine barely stays functional. We have had over 100 service calls, sometimes multiple a day. We are a printing company, so we need a high level of up time, and we were sold a machine that won't do what it was advertised as doing. POA refuses to replace the machine, only replace parts (probably OEM equivalent i.e inferior parts from China). Stay FAR FAR away from this company, and buy direct (our other machine we have we bought direct and it is night and day difference!) Pros: Nice sales people Cons: They don't back their machines more

Been happy for over 22 years 7/8/2009

I have been a local business owner in Portland for over 25 years. I've had the same rep for about 11 of them. Pacific Office Automation has been a great company to partner with throughout my business career. It bothers me that people below have the time and energy to mis-represent a company that has proven itself and has almost half of the market share in Portland (so I've read). The privately held company has been good to me and I have recommended them to numerous clients that have been happy with their service and quality of salesmanship. Finding an office solution company to do business with can be a difficult task, but Pacific Office Automation has made it very easy and I couldn't imagine doing business with some public companies like IKON, ABS, CTX, or any of the other companies in town. POA is growing and I am happy to do business with such a company. Pros: Great Local Company Cons: Haven't found one more

Great Equipment, Great Service, Competitive Pricing 7/6/2009

I recently had a machine through Associated Business Systems. After my experience with them and other companies like them in Portland I thought that all copier companies were con-artists. That was until I started working with Pacific Office Automation. The pricing was competitive and my sales rep did a great job of evaluating my whole office work flow. All the other companies tried to sell me a copier but POA sold me a solution that changed the way I do business. WORST COMPANY I'VE EVER SEEN! 1/7/2009

Never in my 31-year career as an attorney have I done business with such a downright dishonest company. They'll coax you with an impressive sales pitch & make it sound like they'll always be there for you & then you'll quickly realize how badly they lie once the lease goes into effect. They NEVER respond to any of my requests for help on our copy machine & don't return calls. The worst part? THEY SIMPLY DON'T CARE!! You can complain to any management member & it doesn't matter to them... they seem to have adequate business so they clearly don't care about their reputation (YET). Look at the other postings on Citysearch and notice the consistency! Avoid this rip-off company no matter what! This company should not even be permitted to operate! 12/10/2008

As a small business owner, Pacific Office Automation is by leaps and bounds the worst company that I have ever had to deal with. I wish that I had seen the other reviews on CitySearch before I decided to do business with this extremely questionable company. Their sales practices skirt the boundaries of legality and their service is non-existant. If you actually like getting lectured and called names by a ""top level manager"" or not being able to reach a customer service individual for over a week then I suppose this company would be perfect for you. I could not even begin to explain how we have felt scammed, cheated, lied to and deceived by this horrible sham of a company. AVOID AT ALL COSTS! Do not trust anything that they tell you, do not sign anything that they give you, do not even give this place a chance because you will be the next one writing a bad review on CitySearch. more

Worst company I've ever dealt with 10/20/2008

I own a small business in Portland with 4 locations. We needed a commercial grade color printer for our corporate office and got quoted what seemed to be a good lease deal on the surface. What we didn't know, however, is how LOUSY this company is at helping you when your leased equipment breaks down. They NEVER return phone calls, and they love to put you on hold forever and then are often downright rude on the phone. Regarding the contract, they had small print (that I obviously missed) allowing them to charge me an insurance fee that I didn't even need! When we finally got a hold of a representative to fix this obvious rip-off, we were told ""too bad!"" and lost thousands of dollars. I WARN EVERYONE: this compay is corrupt in more than a hundred ways... stay away from them if you want to protect your business! Avoid this company 8/11/2008

I think the copiers are okay. They are definitely overpriced. The problem my company has had with POA is that they accidently left a copier at our office and we tried to return it but they refused to accept it and kept sending a bill. Now they have decided they want the copier back, but instead of coming and taking it they call and ask questions about the copier and then hang up when we ask what company they are from. The worst 11/7/2007

As an office manager I have to deal with several different leasing companies and of all of them this one is the absolute worst. I can never get a straight answer and I am constantly being transferred from person to person. I currently have two machines that are still under contract that do not work at all. I wouldn't recommend them to even my worst enemy. more
