I have made some Foreign Exchange at the SFO airport. I got ripped off since there was only one company at the International terminal. The exchange rate was bad and there was a service charge unless I was willing to exchange a minimum of $450 to eliminate the service fee. I will never make that mistake again.\r

I need to make some exchange from US dollars to Korean Won again for my daughter's trip. This time I called many stores (and Banks) for Foreign Exchange. Many of them gave me exchange rates with service charges on the phone. Some of them did not even give me exact rate, just approximate. The exchange rate varies a lot from one shop to the others, the diference can be 10% or more.\r

I decided to call my own bank. Bank of America offered me an exchange rate and there was no service fee since I am one of their customers. However, the rate over the counter is not bad, but still not the best.\r

I decided to try Pacific Foreign Exchange. The rate was better than my bank, and also there was no service charge. The manager is very nice. I recommended that you should give him a try.
