We had a small bank before moving to Eugene, and having experienced that, we knew we couldn't go back to one of the conglomerates (Wells Fargo, Bank of America, Citibank, etc.). We interviewed people at a couple of Eugene area banks, and I am so glad that we chose Pacific Continental. The service is just outstanding. We get telephone calls or personalized contact whenever anything is out of the ordinary, and if we need anything, people go out of their way to try to make it happen - from the tellers to the bank's management. Everyone is super nice and we feel like this is the best bank we've ever seen for keeping our money secure while never over-charging us for anything. No random fees, no surprises, just good, old-fashioned service. When you call them, a live person answers, not a recording or someone overseas. Their online banking also makes life so easy, and they even have remote deposit now, where you can ""deposit"" checks from home and never even have to stop at a branch. We never get charged ATM fees because of their deals with bank networks, so there is no reason at all to pick one of the large impersonal banks over this one. We'll be customers for life.
